For the Masquerade King/Queen event, can we wait to see if we recognize our partners before deciding whether we are going to reveal ourselves, or whether we want to apply a different technique to a particular individual? Also, is the 'half your DoS' restriction before or after the 1.5 multiplier? Half of 14 is a lot different than half of 9 (rounded down, I presume).
EDIT: Second question. Regarding the 'mask can tell' event, is the "Wicked Hearts" 2 free Fire/Blood DoS only applicable to the Hushed Whispers portion of the event, or can they be saved for later? If not, how would it interact with two people from the same house selecting that reward?

Half of multiplied DoS. Can wait to see if you recognize before choosing to reveal yourself or apply different technique.
It's 2 DoS that is added to your running total, same as fire&blood rumor. So anyone reaching 2 (Blood) or 3 (Fire) today, rumor+buying 2 DoS, should start writing a rumor to explain how they are shifting the score. Any leftover DoS carries over to day 3, I suspect that the scores are getting bumped up by enough that nobody will have enough DoS on day 3 to get another point sitting on their hands.

What is management's opinion on fatigue or destiny points being used for extra attacks? I think we ran Dragon's Dance with destiny points being able to generate extra attacks but not fatigue, to avoid combat turning in to "rocket tag". However, appreciate we're in a "new town, new rules" situation so situation here may differ. Thought it was good to square these things away before any meaningful combats, prompted by the practice yard thread.

Just want to confirm that attractive can not be used unless I unmask myself.

Just want to confirm that attractive can not be used unless I unmask myself. Given how that's basically the converse of my prior question, I'm pretty much certain that that is correct (unless they identify who you are through means other than you unmasking yourself, I guess). When rolling to resist Lascivious in the King and Queen event, I'm assuming you don't roll against the increased TN should they be Attractive, since they're hidden under a mask? Asking for a friend! As long as you're unaware of who's under the mask. If you know you're dancing with Marq Durwell, then his attractive kicks in.

I'd say if they're showing off their body, it might kick in as well. But that's just me.

Yay there plenty of reason why either option could be the case. Since its not expressly written anywhere, I'll wait for Father input.

You can use the reroll, but dispositions are unaffected by it if you keep yourself mask.

Is there a minimum charge distance on foot? Or is 1 square all you need? Trying to use hammered steel thread as a practice run and asking now instead of later.

Has to be a distance equal to your movement (from house rules thread, can't quote it for some reason).

Are we using critical hits and fumbles in combat?

Stage 2: In Hushed Whispers During this stage, you may attempt to put out a rumor, adding the costume bonus to the test, this comes in addition to your normal limit. A rumor in support of fire gains +1D. The normal limits to influencing Fire and Blood are still in effect, but each character may attempt to influence the score, and the highest DoS per score per house counts. All other characters succeeding on their test gains 1 DoS towards influencing the score. Breaking disguise to gain your chivalry/virtue (and possibly status) rank as a bonus to the test retroactively counts as a critical failure on the disguise test (-3 on all tests involving the costume bonus). In addition, the TN to investigate the source of any rumors you put out during this event is increased by 2+twice your stage 2 modifier. The "stage 2 modifier" referenced in the last line is the costume bonus? Anything else? Not that an innocent maid like me has any interest in spreading vicious rumors, of course.
