Is this per degree of success? I would certainly be receptive to it being so (says the Status 5 player character)*, but for the rules as they are written now, no. 1 step increase, regardless of DoS. *Not that I am actually recommending such. It takes a full intrigue for me to raise disposition 2 steps using Charm. It would be rather OP if I could have the same or better effect with a single action.

I think SoR is just one step regardless of DoS, unless that's listed somewhere else.

As written, just one step.
I can see the case for a temporary increase in rating for that intrigue only.

Does melee allow for modifiers like 'aggressive, defensive' and things like that or is there just normal attack/charge/split attack ?

Yes it does. I don’t have to book handy but their is a section called advance combat. There are several different maneuvers you can do that offer a variety of benefits.

In steel and ribbon it says adding DoS from step one of Pageantry. Is this the enrolment thread? And the DoS from the status test, yes?

Yeah, changed it to Parade to clarify.

Yeah, changed it to Parade to clarify. And as for the Glory from step 2, is it total glory earned, or just the ones that count (1st, 3rd, 6th, etc.)?

Total.
You still earn X amount of glory, but only 1, 3 etc results in a point you can spend.

Just double checking whether we're applying Strength to Knockdown checks? greatbastards.boards.net/post/2375/threadI'm aware we didn't in previous PbP (but this is a new one!) and it isn't in the rules, but I can also seen Aerion's point on applying the bonus. I think I lean towards not applying it, as it remains a strong tactic even post the sensible knockdown nerf, but good to have this practice matches to sort these matters out.

I had thought I read somewhere that it was eratta'd in, but I could also be mistaking it with a house rule from a previous game. I have been away from this system for a few years in truth.
Also yeah, the nerf is needed as a free test dice for a lesser action is devistating.

Rules as written there isn't any bonus dices involved. Though that also breaks with the custom of ability+specialty, but then the passive result would also have a specialty (balance is obvious) to go along.
Still RAW doesn't mention any of that, so that's how it is right now.
