Does the bonus to intrigue defense apply for free action tests such as status?

Remembered this from the old forum, although a few of the rules have changed, it helped me tremendously when I was new!

I don't think that one is particularly useful without a serious update.

Nice catch! I will edit the damage section!

It is not only the damage section. You get a flat bonus for Animal Handling, but no additional bonus dice when rolling to hit

Main changes are to how damage works and that AH ranks now gives a flat bonus to the test rather than loads of bonus dice. There's also some changes to maneuvers, a couple of new maneuvers and rules about cheating, but that's very jousting specific, and I need to clean up that post to make it nice and reasonably easy to read. Although given certain NPC plots hitting on day 2, I may need to get that ready during the weekend also. At least I do not have to write any IC description like I do with events.

Does intrigue initiative (testing Status with reputation applying) trigger the Bonus of chivalry being added to Status (reputation) tests? I just want to clarify.

Adds to influence tests, status tests made to check if stuffy uppity nobles wants to speak to you and whenever the description in an event says you do.
So no.

So I looked over the jousting rules and I think i got them, but I want to make sure.
Addam has fight 4 +2b Lance and Animal Handling 4 +2b ride. So his passive ride would be 18 and his roll would be 4d6k3+4+maneuvers?

5d6k3+4+maneuvers.
There's just the one training penalty.

I think there was a mistake in Cloth and Coin, but Father didn't mention it when he mentioned other things, so I could be wrong/missing something. Abelar's apology raises Olyvar's disposition to -4. [...] Edit: Olyvar's disposition towards Abelar is now indifferent (-1). If that jump from -4 to -1 was due to Shield of Reputation (which it may not be, but I found no other reason), I believe it should have only jumped to -3. Trust me, I would *love* for SoR to be that good, but I don't believe it is.

So the change from -5 to -4 is because Abelar apologized. I assumed that the apology is not part of the shield of reputation move. Then I assumed that shield of reputation moves disposition by one step to indifferent, so to -1. Is this not what was suppose to happen?

So it seems fairly clear to me that SoR would just raise you from -4 to -3, since it specifically says step, rather than rating.

Is this per degree of success?
