It could be worse for Laena.
She could be in the unenviable position of Lady Tanda. Simon Tarly or Eldon Merryweather? I bet she wished she would've shut her fucking mouth when Gormon was trying to dump her off on Willas Tyrell. lol

Simon Tarly is just a bully with a drinking problem.
Also if you do ctrl-f and search for { in the cast of thousands, you'll find the dead ones, though a few of them died before the story began, and members of PC houses aren't listed there (though I have been meaning to add that for completeness).

That's some OOC shade right there. Lol Edit: On second thought I might be thinking of Sweetrobin.

Actually, my amusement derived from the fact that in this case, he did genuinely bravely run away. Thus parodying a parody.

Men always have a way of overestimating their size. Aw, hubby failed to live up to the hype, I guess. EDIT: oh man, I missed a great opportunity for a bad pun... I should have said that he didn't measure up to the hype.[/dadjoke]

When I said welcome back now go do something, something DID NOT mean spread gonorrhea through the camp.

Hmmm...between Wyldfyre and Parmen the Blackwoods seem to be doing very well in this conflict.

From a narrative perspective, that Laena's complex, detailed plan was undermined by someone trying to kill her mark is painfully enjoyable. I'm looking forward to seeing Laena's reaction play out IC...
If Ashara had lived long enough to go to that party, I think she'd have shanked Maegelle, too.

To me, it's a difference of intent. Laena wants *revenge* - she wants to take everything Maegelle values away from her. When her power is stripped, her children's legacy taken from them, and a man she hates takes everything that she believes should be hers?
Only *then* does she have Laena's permission to die.
Rhaegor wants to eliminate an obstacle to his house's objectives.
Simpler objective, simpler plan.

I feel like this: Spend 8 Fire Points. Sway Lord Leo Tyrell to Fire. Deserves some fanfare. A lot of work clearly went into achieving this, and it's no less deserving of kudos because the 'main event' happens OOC.

I'll confess it is a source of frustration from my end, as fire is likely to again be dominant and it blows Roland's IC objective out of the water that has seen an even greater volume of work for even longer. It is frustrating that having "Won" so many previous events and duels Roland's faction gets crushed in a long running objective.
