Just come and hit him. we only need 4 DoS between 3 attempts before he goes again. I think* that'd open you up to an attack of opportunity by Malcolm. More importantly it'll make you a punk bitch. 🤣 I'm not saying Balon wouldn't do the exact same thing...

Well... if we should judge the chivalrous actions by what Balon would do, there would be blood in the streets!

There are no attacks of opportunity in SIFrpg* The only thing resembling them is Free Attacks in the Advanced Reach rules, which allow for free attacks in the case of moving "more than 1 yard" while being in the optimal reach zone (longswords are 1 yard). Because he only moved 1 yard, it wouldn't trigger a free attack.

That is why I'm glad we're doing a dry run now. That way we can work out most of the Kinks and nail down some house rules verse core book.

So does # 1 apply to knowledge streetwise? (such as making sure that everyone is not retreading the same ground in their search for answers?)
does #2 apply to knowledge streetwise? Will there be some events that we are allowed to use this if we give up our ability to participate? (Such as with Bread and Salt, ensuring that everyone is timely, does not drone on for too long, ect) and would the minimum needed to add the bonus beyond a simple assist be 3 people?

Can someone help me figure out what I should be rolling in: greatbastards.boards.net/thread/341/jolly-mood-great-hall-eventSpecifically the Socialization part. Aerion and Roland both have positive chivalry scores. So shouldn't every Persuasion test receive this (from Chivalry & Virtue thread): A character qualifying for knightly chivalry and having a positive score receives +2 to intrigue defense, influence tests and composure. For a character with lordly chivalry, these bonuses are +3. Roland is adding +4 to his rolls (which I think is his actual Chivalry score) where Aerion isn't adding anything. I can has explanation?

I can explain myself!
... I am forgetful.
Should have added +2 for knightly chivalry, as you say.

1. No. 2. Not really, since as it is, you wouldn't give up anything to assist on streetwise rolls. There may be events where it could come up.

Technically not my question, but relevant nonetheless: Should I, at the end of my last post, have put my next charge as well? Just thinking at the moment since you keep rolling first I have an OOC advantage in what style to choose. OOC I know that your hit isn't going to throw me off so I can choose a style that benefits me more. I mean I prefer to use a style that fits IC but just wondering about "posting-etiquette" I guess. But if it alternates between each round who rolls first its more fair I guess? I think it would be more fair (and quicker) if you just post your second roll straight away, for a friendly joust it does not matter, but it might in the joust proper. I think this is what is so great about jousting before the joust, we get to knock out all the problems! My thoughts is that the only way to make it fair would be to PM Father our techniques, and when he has seen both teqniques he gives a go-ahead to make the rolls, but that is very impractical. I think that the easisest is to just do the 122112 so that a joust in effect is resolved in 4 posts. Anyone else have thoughts? Another question: How will the melee deal with someone being dismounted? Is it dishonorable to hit someone who has fallen from their horse?

That is how it was handled in prior games. Both post their maneuvers in their private forum and confirm this in the IC thread
