"Lady Amerei would be greatly honored to learn that there are knights of the realm who have not forgotten the vows that they took, ser" Kyra appears to not rate him highly enough to chose him, Roland may be a good jouster, but duels did not observe all the rules of the joust, and Ser Rennifer has proven his credentials in single combat.
Intrigue required to make her pick someone else than Rennifer, at least a PC over him.

"It is my heart that is doing all the deciding, my head is simply thinking that it will be coming along for the ride" He grins. "And if that was all I wanted, I could have just had her then and there, no lady can resist the allure of the Willum!""But my life is like a song, and in all the good ones, the most beautiful lady in the word is always as pure as the maiden herself when wed to the dashing hero!" I doubt that very much. "Songs about dashing heroes?!" he laughed, "Are you sure you're not thinking of me!" Karl always had a way of making light of things and Balon went along with it. Balon became fake-serious, "However I have bad news for you my friend. The wife I find will be the fairest in the land. I hope your pride can handle that, my lord." he reached out his hand to congratulate Lord Karl, "I have to get ready for tonight's dance. Whoever you face in the duel make quick work of them so we can have a drink to celebrate your victory."Balon will call it a scene.

"Far too many seems to misremember or simply ignore ones commitments these days" She states, directed towards no one in particular, though she is clearly having a specific individual in mind as she says so.
Let's stick to just Abelar vs Kyra, should be a relatively even match, note that there will be a caveat of her placing a condition for allowing Roland to stand instead of Rennifer should she be convinced. He might not be willing to pay that price. Objective: Get Abelar to aid concluding the Eldon-Alicent situation, whether she submits and marries him or someone (other than Eldon) rips the agreement apart does not matter to her. Intrigue Iniative: 4d6 13Would have done deception, would have been undone by Read Target. ID: 12 DR: 4 Convince: 7d6k5 20 2 DoS for 8-4=4 influence. She's capital A attractive if the +2 disposition from that would apply to the septon.

Kyra suddenly turns cold, she is not very pleasant to begin with, but now she drops any effort to the contrary as her eyes tells Abelar in no uncertain terms that she will not suffer those who speak ill of her brother to be in her presence, no matter how thickly veiled. To those merely listening in, she sounds like an admirer. To Abelar and Abelar alone, her gaze tells him to get out her sight and preferably never find himself in it ever again. "Truer words have never been spoken, good septon, it has been an honor and a pleasure to learn that the renowned Septon Abelar is as principled as the rumors would have it"
Action: Quit.
That's what you get for insulting her brother. That and -2 disposition.

Abelar keeps his cool. "My lady is gracious with her words. It is only through principle that the good may be done . . . and the bad may be undone." He lingers a moment to see if she has more to say.
Seeing if I can RP my way into an agreement to nuke the betrothal in return for Roland championing her, or maybe in return for something else.

Lady Kyra have apparently decided that Abelar is no longer worth listening to, those who have chosen to take the side of some insignificant creature brought along to dispose of the contents of Lady Lysette's nightpot over her own flesh and blood are no friends of hers.

Abelar stalks off. Lady Orme has a pleasing manner about her, but her all-consuming zealotry is off-putting. Imagine being so devoted to such a fantastical proposition as Lord Eldon's honor . . .

Roland shook his head in sorrow after his failed intervention alongside Septon Abelar, fearing something dark. She is intent on having a killer serve as her champion, even if his very name dishonours any cause it is attached to. Ser Rennifer was skilled, but Roland was confident he was the man's better. He attempted to win an audience with Lord Willum, but like Ser Balon he would have to hope their friendship compensated for the difference in rank. Ser Roland was torn: he feared Ser Rennifer meant to kill Lord Willum, but Lord Willum had wronged House Orme. Seven help me, this is more complicated than facing Dornish night-raiders.At the very least he should warn Lord Willum. +3 disposition with Lord Willum from previous interactions. Lord Willum is happy to tell Roland's ear about the fair Alena, about the glory that awaited him as the vanquisher of the Blackguard and other adventures and songs besides, most of those yet to come to pass. But the young lord thinks himself invincible and waves away any suggestion that his destiny is not pre-ordained for greatness.

"I believe he intends lethal violence: he is a killer and has killed already at this tournament."
"Even the Seven hells cannot match the fury of a scorned woman, and she is so fixed on blood that she dismissed even the famed Septon Abelar. Let me know if you mind should be changed later."
"I would not forgive myself if I had not warned you on this. If I am wrong we shall laugh about this at another tourney."
If I am right people will weep.
Roland bowed and departed, grateful that Lord Willum had been willing to see him.

However entertaining it would be to watch a mighty lord fight for his life for his sins, Lord Alliser had said he'd be 'greatly indebted' to her should she prevent Lord Karl's death, so it was at least worth attempting. "Lady Kyra? I am Laena Pyre. A moment of your time, please?" IltI - Kyra Audience - TN16: 6d6k5+5 31 4 DoS Why couldn't that roll be for influencing her?! At her nod of agreement, Laena approaches and speaks quietly to the other lady. "Thank you. My Lady, I mean no disrespect when I say this; indeed, were a man to do to my Sylvina what Lord Karl has just done to your Lady Amerei - not that she's of that age yet - I would have precisely the same inclination. However, despite how skilled he is, I believe that ultimately choosing Ser Rennifer as your champion is in neither your nor your daughter's interests. Regardless of what your true intent is," she gives a knowing smile at that "choosing him sends the clear message that you wish Lord Karl dead. This allows Lord Karl's allies - and he has plenty - to frame the narrative painting you in a bad light, and him as merely escaping a ... dangerous lady, let's say. Not to mention that, should said passing come to pass, when your daughter's next betrothal is in consideration, the man will remember - or be reminded - of what happened to his predecessor, and may decide to look for a ... safer pick. "Allow me to propose an alternative: my brother. By which I mean my full brother, Ser Aerion, who beat both Bittersteel and Bloodraven in the joust. A popular and charismatic knight, of royal blood, in service to the honourable House Starkwood. By choosing him instead, your position of moral superiority becomes unassailable, as it should be. And Lord Karl cannot frame the narrative around the events as anything other than as it is: a lord and knight abandoning his honour, his duty, and an innocent eleven year old girl, in favour of base lust. "And all that, before the challenge even takes place."

"Ser Rennifer, how would you rate Ser Aerion's prowess against that of Lord Karl?" Kyra gets a grunt in reply about how they're about equal, with Lord Willum perhaps slightly better. "Well, then, my lady have a few good points, but I am not much of a believer in leaving a toincoss to the will of the seven. If I must chose between them, prowess is a safer bet than renown."
She's not really inclined to let Aerion do it, she wants someone more or less guaranteed to beat Karl's arse.
