A whopping 22 interesting rumors that hasn't hit the almanac yet, the other 85 has either surfaced or they are boring.
I guess I could run a policy of rolling a d100 and if I get 23+ I'll just tell you that you heard something which isn't interesting to your character.
Maybe I'll go through the list of NPC's and see if I can come up with something fun about them, probably won't get back up to a 100 anyhow.

You could also cut out some of those 85 to increase the odds of something juicy coming up. As rumors get played out, less people talk about them, leaving other matters to come to the fore.
I'm sure that various PC actions would make for some juicy rumors too - not necessarily truthful ones nor ones spread with particular malignant intent, either - such is the nature of gossip.

Nope, no way. Nothing to see here. Just some normal stuff going on with all of us PCs. No adultery, murder conspiracy, double crossing, etc. That's the kind of stuff NPCs do.

Most of the rumors hitting the Almanac lately has more to do with stuff that is actually happening.

I meant stuff like wild speculation based on publicly viewable things - for example Ashara and Ser Roland have been seen together several times recently, it wouldn't be inconceivable for some gossip-monger or another to wonder if something less than appropriate was going on, or spin a story of unrequited love.
It wouldn't be particularly OOC informative to get a rumor like that, but it could lead to some interesting IC situations. For instance if Septon Abelar heard speculation about Roland and Ashara, he might confront one or the other about it, and so on.
Might be more work than it is worth to add stuff like that, though.

That sort of thing I typically throw directly into the Almanac if I catch it.

Ugh.
Bought a new computer, because my old one was randomly conking out every hour or so. Just finished getting it put together. Along with the desk.
Forgot how long it takes to assemble things. And wait for orders. Brain is cheese now, but I wanted y'all to know I wasn't dead.
Only mostly.

Welcome back and congratulations on the new computer! Let us know if we can her ease your PC back in. @lord Levalle - doubtless you're hoping that you or your minion gets away cleanly. Let's see if Daeron's good cunning roll and awareness rolls are enough after Roland was distracted by the chivalry.

"I would not be surprised to find tomorrow's drawing in the joust to be rigged so that the final eight will only have a single man known to be loyal to King Daeron in it, and only because they cannot find some way to rid themselves of both Breakspear and Stormbreaker without risking their own favorites." He ponders for a moment. "And I also believe that if Ser Roland, Prince Maekar and the Stormbreaker does not band together in the melee, Blackfyre's victory will be assured. Though I must admit I do have a mind to seek to join the winning team while Gormy and Bittersteel play their games, Lord Marq would probably join me, but you can never know for sure with him." Mental note, dramatic public Fire declaration on the morning of D8. I'm really enjoying Lord Bryce's character and background - his is a sad tale (even his art is sorrowful) and it's nice to see Laena awaken a sleeping giant. He's an intelligent Lord and a war hero, lots to like here. Let's see how his melee analysis goes - Roland mainly treats the melee as sport/a chance for people to show their skills rather than as something to try to win, given the chaos these involve. On this occasion, that's overridden to an extent by a desire to protect Ser Symon Starkwood as a pleasant (?) young lady asked him to do so. That said, can see a PC or NPC intriguing Roland in to making the melee a 3 v 4. It would be easy to prey on his sense of honour to do so even if he hasn't declared for Blood. Look forward to seeing how the Lord Willum/mysterious stranger thread plays out, even if I have a pang of envy and regret at walking myself out of it (good awareness rolls there that I couldn't put to use, then missed a roll with Abelar that I'd have been interesting in learning from). Keen to try to play characters naturally, and the narrator was pushing the right buttons to get rid of Roland - dovetailed nicely with my scene with Abelar (who's a great character, excellently played). On a similra theme, impressed to see Ser Donnel doing something slightly foolish OOC as it makes sense IC (http://greatbastards.boards.net/post/9751/thread). All makes for richer, more interesting experience.

And now that Shiera most likely will soon learn about the contents of that letter, the plot thickens.

Indeed, cool thing for Donnel's player to do and continues to forge links between PCs form various houses, pleasing stuff.

There might be a slight delay to the day change depending on Daeron's choices in the Willum thread, ideally we can resolve that today.
Also writing up a little event-style thing that happens all over the place, it features Butterbumps, Mya Rivers, Lord Eldon, Bryce Bridges, entertaining to write, might be taking requests for NPC cameo appearances.

It really emphasises the difference between the characters.
