I did mention it in a private forum somewhere, but it's very possible to try and seek out specific NPC's if you want them to join up on a specific melee team, there'll be an event centered around the recruitment of knights in general. Most PC knights (that is all PC knights that doesn't have Levalle for last name) should find themselves welcome on most teams with an NPC captain, unless they supported one of the other captains in the event or have unpalatable behavior or public political inclinations (as said captain considers it). With Roland being a PC, he gets to decide who to pick.

With “Family Matters” gone the way it has, could someone explain abit more what comes next? What are the options and culturally appropriate terms/actions after a challenge like this has been issued?

More than one way to handle it, can do a straightforward jousting match applying the general format for that (which probably is the most evenly matched option). Can do a duel setup with one go with tourney lances and then longswords (dueling and melee tilts are handled slightly different mechanically than jousts). Can do longswords only. Lord Tyrell is going to get pissed if he sees war lances, greatswords, bludgeons and the like.

This doesn't address the matter directly, but strongly argues the expectation would be blunted weapons/tourney lance etc (depending on format): www.westeros.org/Citadel/SSM/Entry/Kinslaying_in_WesterosI particularly like that the wiki closes on a quote about the father's place in such matters: awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Kinslaying. That said, knowing the least controversial option (in what is already a controversial matter!) helps us if one or both of you wants to amp things up. A public challenge and proclamation of the accusations and consequences of defeat/victory? Exile/withdrawal of accusation etc, depending on what you guys fancy? With the challenge to be held at an appointed time and place in front of witnesses "in the sight of gods and men"?

Titus lets work this out in the Blackbriar OOC so we can keep everyone guessing as to what happens.

And Shiera is going to box both your ears worse than you've ever experienced. Possibly off-screen.

And Shiera is going to box both your ears worse than you've ever experienced. Possibly off-screen. I would love to see this on-screen, subject to narrator availability of course. Has the potential to be quite dramatic and/or hilarious, and well could shape the way things shake out in House Blackbriar.

Red Lion was supported by Gormon Peake, Stormbreaker by Bloodraven, that should be some rather strong indications. Were it not for a pesky meddler and Lord Tyrell failing to deal with the Stormlander as expected, there'd be a six on one thing, but Redtusk and Longthorn probably wouldn't get behind such an arrangement. There is nothing more annoying for a schemer when your plots are ruined by the spontaneous gallantry on your flank when you need that flank to push forward and rout your foes. Looking forward to the selection process. Who will take who? What political statements will be made? Will Roland Cordwayner finally get his comeuppance (that only Balon thinks he deserves)? Will there be any murders accidents?

Not sure if I can give everyone tidbits coming out of Mummer's Dragon, I'm trying to peel away some of the layers of what's going on behind the scene and tailoring it to the PC. So slightly dependent on what I manage to cook up.

Best wishes to Ser Titus: a point of destiny might swing things here once you've seen the rolls, remember that it will last for the whole tilt as a penalty to your opponent's roll/a bonus to your own rolls, depending on which you choose. I'll do my best to roll badly for Ser Donnel's opponent.
