Is it considered unchivalrous for Lord's not to ride in the tournament? Or is it considered best for the house not to have your head of house out risking his neck in a young man's game

I think it is worse not to ride! The issue for house Blacbriar is that although our lord is intelligent, he is not martial enough!

Lords generally ride at the list to remind everyone that they are also knights. Lords not well known for their martial ability are usually pitted against each other or against skilled knights that knows they are expected to eliminate with their honor intact. So Alliser would probably have a history of facing the likes of Redtusk, Marq Durwell, Leo Tyrell and Willem Starling early on. No shame in losing out to those, and it usually doesn't hurt much either. He'd probably be skipping on the parade and he'd get some small bonuses in steel and ribbons for accepting the favor of his wife if memory serves.
If he doesn't ride, there *might* be a rumor about it, but I don't think I'm mean enough to penalize you much.
Edit: Jon Blackbriar is actually on the list of people who will joust, he's just not any good at it.

You're having Lord Leygood (iirc) and then it looks like another scheduled pairing in the second round, so we'll see.

Dibs on facing him then I think the point is to have good knights facing them, so that it isnt embarrasing! Just banter😅

Does the Orator quality apply for the remembrance event? For the persuasion roll as described (+1D, -3TN) or as some kind of flat bonus?

In the Remembrance thread, do you have to only pick one of Cunning (Memory) or Knowledge (Education), or can you try both?
Likely just pick one, but want to clarify.

One of them.
Added provisions for Orator, technically it doesn't apply since this isn't intrigue, but it's appropriate for it to kick in.

I feel like I may have asked this already, but are all gains from events on a particular day only totaled at the end of the day?
For example, the Chivalry gained during the Remembrance scene, which happens first, doesn't count when rolling in the following scenes that day (such as the Hunting scene), right? Or do they, if there is a defined timeline of which event happens first?
