Lord Quentin throws down his sword in surrender, giving some credence to Thaddeus words, but he had stood up nobly against his opponent and held his own for at least as long as honor demands to demonstrate that his own belief that these words are false remains firm. But some might whisper that if this was what his mother told him, he could still hold such a firm belief and be quite wrong. Some might think The Warrior had intervened through Ser Thaddeus to expose the truth, but others need only point to the fresh memory of Ser Rennifer defeating the finest knight of all by making mockery of chivalric honor in holy trial to get away with molestation of a fine and noble lady with all the realms to witness.
Ignoring the advice of the maester to withdraw his name from the melee so that he might be thoroughly examined, Lord Cordwayner calls for another shield and half a cup of strongwine, just enough to take the edge off the pain, but not so much as to dull his senses. His mother exchanges a glance with Ser Normyn, the faint trace of grim worry on her face, but her good-brother, lover according to those vile filthy rumors, just shakes his head and she holds her tongue. Had she went onto the field to chastise her son and drag him back to the maester's tent, he would never hear the end of worse monikers than "Lord Flowers". She would just have to trust Lord Peake and the real Lord Flowers, Ser Farman of The Laughing Stream and the other knights with them to shield him from their mutual enemies.
CD: 6
AR: 8
Health: 2/12
Injuries: 3
Fatigue 1
Uhm, can't take another hit like that without putting his wound-taking ability to the test, not possible to raise CD high enough to prevent it.
+2 Glory to Thaddeus
A variant of the per day rules for injuries, wounds and fatigue on same day applies in the melee, the penalties does not carry over across scenes to avoid having to retroactively apply them (though Thaddeus may cancel his melee participation instead of entering scene 2), but points taken in this scene counts towards the maximum that may be taken this day.
Bonus DP-effect: Quentin will be in the melee (with AR 8), which he probably wouldn't otherwise (at least I'd have to think on it, DP's have a knack for making such deliberations to swing the way of PC's), and he wouldn't be if penalties had applied.
