[Branches off from this event - greatbastards.boards.net/thread/1017/phase-toast-who-make-event](After Ysilla tells her story, but before the fighting contest and before both parties pass out drunk)
Trystane can't help but watch Ysilla rapturously. Her vibrant energy as she speaks and moves are captivating, made even more so by her passionate advocacy. Demure ladies had their own charm, but this was more Trystane's preferred sort of woman. He'd felt the same in his previous encounters with Ysilla, captivated and invigorated by her, and always left wanting to know more. So, after she finishes her storytelling and speechifying, he makes sure to approach her with congratulations. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to him, she has drank a great deal in the interim, and her energy has begun to shift from buoyant to aggressive. "Hello again, Lady Ysilla. Your storytelling was delightful to watch. Riling up the masses with your impassioned speeches rather suits you," he says, playfully. "You were very..." He has to force his eyes not to rake all over her body salaciously. "...stirring." He knows his word choice is suggestive, but it amuses him to use it nonetheless. "Let me get you a drink. I'd love to hear more about your vision of a future with female warriors."

"We'll have you wearing tight skirts and revealing bodices, like exposing your breasts completely, cut all the way down to here!" She demonstrates by pointing just above his crotch. "You might as well go get those drinks and practice your future duties as a serving boy" She appears to have had just enough drink for some of the inhibitions to come off, which by her standards probably involves going from testing the norms of propriety to gleefully ignore them.

He laughs and lightly takes her arm. “Now that’s an amusing image, but impractical for battle. Why don’t you come sit a while. I’m not suited to being a serving boy, but we can have a nice time anyway.” He tries to steer her to a seat, leaning in to say something more discreetly. “You know I think you’re fun, my dear, but let’s calm it down a little before you make yourself ill,” he coaxes. "Yeah, without practice you're likely to fall over in them just trying the simplest of dances, I can't be bothered wearing anything like that" She agrees on that account, her own attire is a tunic of black silk, not particularly revealing, but with a somewhat casual elegance which suits her, and providing no restrictions of movement which probably would not suit her at all. An unadorned silken rope the color of smoke and silver accentuates her waist, adding an imaginary inch to her hips and chest, it has embroidery in gold, red and orange the shape of flames licking up from the hemline halfway down her thighs, tight satin breeches, black as sin covers the rest of her legs, with doeskin leather boots which surely would be great for dancing, and running, or fighting for that matter. Someone with an eye for apparel, a friend might likely as she seems not the type to care, has added a pair of silver bracelets to call attention her wrists as well. "But you'd be wearing them at feasts and weddings silly, not much fighting there, unless it's a Dothraki wedding, best be wearing armor if you ever visit one of those.

“Oh, have you been to a Dothraki wedding?” Trystane replies amusedly, sitting her down and calling for wine, though making gestures over Ysilla’s head to the serving girl to make it watered. He begins to think he either should have approached her much earlier or not at all.
He returns his attention to Ysilla, sitting down with her.
“I plan on avoiding the Dothraki where possible. Rapists and pillagers are not the sort of company I’d choose for myself.”

"Yeah, grannynuncle took me to Pentos when I was one and ten, he was friends with the magister, see, so we were invited. First time I saw someone get killed, Farman pissed his breeches he did." She explains in animated fashion, although one might wonder if she's not just making it all up as she goes. "I asked if I could have an Arakh, still hangs over my bed at Laughing Stream I think, looks nice, but everyone gets their minds in a twist if I carry a sword around. Keeping a straight face?: 6d6k4 20 Oh yes.

"Minds that get in a twist that easily are probably best disregarded. I think it would suit you rather well. A lady who can stand up for herself - as you clearly are - should be armed, and be able to use it effectively." Had Trystane been more sober, he might have scrutinised Ysilla's claims more, or thought about the potential underlying reason for her excessive drinking. But he was far from sober, and was blinkered by wine and by her beauty. "And I'll have to pay a visit to Laughing Stream sometime. I'd like to see that Arakh over your bed," Trystane smirks, and leans a little closer, trailing a finger lightly up her forearm. "Though, if you wanted, I have a fine sword upstairs you can have a go with right now." ADSoL - Lascivious check: 4d6k4 16 (pass, but fuck it. [Just realised that maybe I need to be doing a complex Intrigue rather than a simple one]

"Oh, sure, it's not like I'll be there, though. After Farman took over, everyone upped and left, the living ones anyway, so I did too. She doesn't seem that much moved about recent events as others might be. "Besides, he's mean, I'd just be out in the woods hunting his tax farmers and other decent folk just doing their jobs. In the stories, the tax farmers of the evil lord is as wicked as he, stories are always better than reality, even most of the pig's people are just people, people doesn't chose their lords."
Yes, standard intrigue would be required.

"Oh then of course there'd be no point if you were not there. That would be most of the fun," Trystane agrees, unsure if she's just distracted or wilfully ignoring his advance. She does make a good point though. "But yes, you're absolutely right. There is no honour in cutting down innocents. Those folk are just trying to get by in life. Better to cut down those who mistreat the vulnerable. That would be the more gallant thing." trying to be a little more subtle for the moment in his seduction attempt, he lets his hand move down past her wrist to lightly place his index and middle finger into her palm under the table, clasping her hand delicately between those two fingers and his thumb in a less overt gesture that retained intimacy.

"Honor, gallantry, can't you knightly types drop those flowery euphemisms and call things right or wrong, everyone would be better off I think" she states in a friendly jab at him.
You have ID 12 and Composure 14, and +2 to influence tests due to chivalry. Anointed and charismatic stack up to a +3 on the status tests, so breeding is 24 vs 12 is 3 DoS for 2b in the pool. With +2 Chivalry, that's a 22 vs 15 is 2*3-3=3. Initiative: 6d6k4 17Free Deception: 6d6k4 19 3 DoS for +3 ID ID: 15 DR: 3 Composure 9/12 Objective: Get Trystane to do something hilariously funny that probably will get him into trouble (OOC: ideas eludes me atm, other players might offer suggestions). I'm calling it a "friendly" taunt: 6d6k4+1 13 1 DoS for 4-3=1

Ah, but an act may be right, but technically not 'right' in the eyes of the law," Trystane counters, now engaged with the philosophy of her comment, though acknowledging its playfulness with a smile. "It's not even certain that doing what is right is always honourable. And gallantry is largely another word for decorum, rather than being inherently right or wrong." I think she's not particularly fussed about decorum right now."Right and wrong are too simple, and too subjective. And they depend too much on what is acceptable for our culture. For example, take the rich wankers in Essos who keep slaves. It's legal, and nobody there who does it would be considered dishonourable by their peers for it, but morally it is definitely wrong, I'm sure we can agree. But even our own measures of 'right' and 'wrong' may differ from case to case. Which is why we need more nuanced words." He begins to stroke her wrist lightly with his fingertips. "I can be ungallant if you want though," he adds, suggestively.

Well, you can activate the once per day +5 boost to defenses for one round whenever you feel like it. And some intrigue actions uses status tests. But doesn't add to persuasion, no.
