"The knighting rhyme says nothing about the laws of men, for surely Lord Piggy and his dog would be freezing their balls off at the wall by now if the laws of men were just, or having frostbite where they used to have them." She seems totally unwilling to consider that right and wrong might be some subjective cultural thing. "I don't care about gallantry, ser, do things right or not at all I say, everyone else seems to think that these rules must be followed because everyone else seems to think that these rules must be followed, which is just as silly as it would be if everyone thought that one's own shit should be eaten because everyone else thought that one's own shit should be eaten when you think about it" She grins. "Not nearly as amusing though"

"What a revolting thought," Trystane sneers, wrinkling his nose. "I hope that never catches on. But you're right, convention can breed such problems. But that does not mean all conventions are without merit." He shifts a little closer so he may speak more quietly. "For example, it is often that, if we feel that justice has not been properly served, we take it into our own hands and make it right. We have seen it recently, as you say, with 'Lord Piggy' and his dog. They wriggled free because of a technicality, but that won't save them when righteous retribution comes for them. And it most certainly will. Trust me." This is getting too close to a serious conversation, Sand. And she's either not getting your hints or deliberately ignoring them. Get on with it and stop mucking about. His hand releases her wrist and plants itself just above her knee, followed by a light squeeze as he meets her eyes with intent. "So, Lady Ysilla, who knows all the rights and wrongs, what would be the right thing to do to convince you to come upstairs for a while? The party will still be here when we return."

Not asking her advice on it would be a start. She states matter of factly, although she does not seem offended by the idea either. "Not so directly anyway, I don't even know what makes me want to do things, I either do or I don't, ever since some fancy document arrived with the royal seal making me half a princess, nobody could make me do anything I did not want or tell me that I couldn't do what I wanted. Grannynuncle was really good at making me want whatever he wanted me to, but I never figured out how. And I've seen Farman try just about every trick to make a girl want him, none of those ever worked on me"
21 is measured against 15, TN+5 is 2 DoS, TN+10 is 3 DoS etc. Seduce being tied to awareness, so 3 influence per DoS, means 3*2-3=3 Actually you forgot the +2 from chivalry, so it's 23, which is still 2 DoS, but your roll would be 21 rather than 19, so that was also 2 DoS, dealing 6*3-3=3 ID: 15 DR: 3 Composure 3/12 Objective: Get Trystane to do something hilariously funny that probably will get him into trouble (OOC: ideas eludes me atm, other players might offer suggestions). Keeping up with the daring: 6d6k4+1 21 vs 17 is 1 DoS for 4-3=1.

"Fair point, though I thought that you would prefer to have a say in the matter. My apologies," Trystane chuckles softly, though he leaves his hand where it is. "You just seemed to me like the sort of woman who prefers someone to be direct when they want something, rather than being dishonest and putting on an act to try and fool you into giving it, or trying to force their will on you. 'Do right or not at all' I believe you said. Now, while I am hesitant to judge a man when he is not present to speak his case, I'll wager that's why Farman's 'tricks' don't work. It sounds like he treats women as things to be tricked into liking him, rather than people with individual needs..." His eyes flick down to her mouth, then back to her eyes. "...and desires, that deserve to be met." He doesn't let his hand move any higher, but the slow stroke of his index finger indicates the direction he wants to go. "A man who relies on a set of tricks is going to come up short when it counts, because he hasn't been sensitive to what his lady actually wants."

"If a man wants more than a fling, he's stupid to approach the situation as if a fling happens to be his objective" Ysilla shrugs. "So says Lord Durwell, but he squired for grannynuncle and he might have learned that from him, he learned a great number of things from grannynuncle that would make a septa blush, and lift her robes for him, that too. She might be coming around, she might not, being as skilled as the best Dornish girls at keeping a man guessing. "I had the impression that Dornish knew more about how to awaken such desires than most, grannynuncle believed it at least

Gods, she talks about her granduncle a lot. I don't remember her being quite like this before. Or perhaps I just overlooked it..."You assume I am operating at my full capacity, my lady," comes Trystane's friendly return fire. "And that I seek more than some uncomplicated fun. I'm sure I could awaken many of your desires, but we have several sets of eyes in this room that would not look upon it kindly. Unenlightened people, of course, but still, discretion would be advisable. Unless you want to lean on the fact that we are both a bit drunk and behave like reprobates in public anyway."

With most ladies, Trystane may have lifted them off their seats and most likely be rewarded with a kiss, a slap in the face and things could only get worse from there. With Ysilla however, he finds that she simply pushes his hands away in firm rejection, this she does not allow, maybe later, but not now. He releases her immediately, her refusal received clearly, and withdraws his hands. Reeling himself in, his gaze stays on her face now, sincere and chaste as a septon.
"My apologies, my lady. That was perhaps too daring of me. I hope I have not caused offence, and, if I have, that you will forgive me. I can make it up to you, if you would tell me how."
[Trystane is willing to yield and do something appropriate (and within reason) for Ysilla if she agrees not to publicly shame him. Not sure how to express that mechanically. Switch to Charm with Friendship objective?]

"Make it up to me?" Ysilla shrugs, apparently more pleased at having won that invisible little wrestling match than insulted, but however childish she might be, she is intelligent and no stranger to courtly intrigue. "If you make it up to me, you should be a proper nice knight that rights wrongs and stands up to blackguards, humiliating them would be even better"
Pretty much what she wants, so sure. Details eludes my imagination, but going out of your way to stand up for the innocent or stick it to some vile blackguard carries a fairly wide interpretation of what qualifies I should think.

"Then I shall make it so, my lady. You will see soon enough that honour and chivalry yet live here."
He was relieved that she did not seem offended, at least not as outwardly as Lynesse had been earlier, though hunting down a blackguard to remonstrate with was going to have to wait until he sobered up. Unless one presented himself tonight in this very room, at least. He stood to leave her, steadying himself by holding the back of the chair.
"The next blackguard or brute I fell, I shall do so in your name. But, for now, with your leave, I should like to go pour something medicinal on my bruised pride," he said wryly, with a little bow.

"I never knew strongwine to heal any such maladies" Ysilla quips "Unless one drinks so much as to not remember the fall that scratched it, doesn't work with knees, I can assure you, ser."

"Not remembering is very much part of the plan, so I think it will be just the thing I need. Let us drink to forget, and not forget to drink. Have a pleasant night, my lady," Trystane responds, a little giddy now that he is standing. "Be good, be vigilant, be...have," he giggles, as he steps away to get another drink.
