The Great Hall of Highgarden is second only to the Hall of a Hundred Hearths of Harrenhaal in size and easily twice that of the throne room of the Red Keep, and it is where the Gardener Kings held court until the Field of Fire. Legends say that the Oakenseat once stood here, though the maesters believe that the Great Hall was built many years after the sacking of Highgarden and the destruction of the ancestral throne in the days of King Garth X Gardener. It has room to comfortably seat all the Lords and principal knights of the Reach around Lord Tyrell's tables, as well as their wives, sons and daughters. There are galleries above, mostly used by onlookers of lesser rank when the Gardener Kings held court, in the Targaryen era, this extra space has rarely been needed aside from the occasional royal progress, though some prefer the view from up high.
