Lord Marq performs his usual showmanship before the match before donning his helm, saluting his opponent and riding solidly. Neither jouster appears to make any gains on the other. Marq goes noble: 3#7d6k4+7 22 25 23 3#6d6k4+1 20 16 20 3#4d6 17 11 11PR 22 AR 10 Health 12 3-3 in DoS. Marq decides to shake things up a bit and employs Heightened Stakes for rounds 4 to 6.

Both show exceptional horsemanship, even though Lord Marq delivers a powerful blow on the fifth tilt that seems impossible to resist. Donnel keeps his saddle but his opponent is closing in on the victory. Noble: 3#7d6k4+7 25 31 22 3#6d6k4+1 22 20 22 3#4d6 6 9 19PR 22 AR 10 Health 12 Counting 8-6 in DoS to Marq, and 15 damage before AR so 11 on the fifth pass.

Unlike the Stormbreaker, Lord Marq weathers the last ditch assault that Donnel delivers, nor does he suffer a fluke in his riding as Prince Baelor did. Instead he ends on a high note with a precise strike at Donnel's center mass, exactly at the high point of the curve of his plate, bringing the full weight behind the lance to work towards bringing him out of balance. Ser Donnel is lifted from the saddle, and lands on the ground with a solid thud. As he is aided to his feet, he bows in respect, to both the crowd, and to the man who unhorsed him.
[Defeated Ransom: Destrier and full plate]
