From Dancing Under the Moon...
Balon approached Lady Sybelle Oakheart with all the grace he could muster. She was only fourteen but looked like a woman grown and the closer he got, the more her beauty seemed to intensify. Balon felt a pang of anxiety right before he spoke, what if she says no? "Lady Sybelle may I have this dance?" he bowed his head to her and to his best to not leer, mouth agape.

Fortunately for Balon, Lady Sybelle is not the arrogant bitch that Denyse Cordwayner is, she wears a modest gown that aside from leaving the shoulders and arms bare cover her from knee to neck, it is of very fine make, accentuating her waist, while being of white silk like most of the ladies wear, a few small green oak leaves have been tastefully sewn onto it. Her form is slim and delicate, with budding breasts and a face full of youthful innocence. She takes to the dance with girlish glee. Her curtsy is practiced, elegant and correct, perhaps lacking some of the personal touch of the truly confident, but those were usually several years older.

Balon was thoroughly enjoying himself with Sybelle. Any anxiety he felt was washed away by her glee. His smile was completely genuine, "I don't think 'radiant' is a strong enough word to describe your beauty on this lovely eve." As they danced he looked down at the unblemished skin of her arms and shoulders. "Are you sure you're not an angel? If it wasn't improper I'd put my hand on your back to ensure you weren't hiding wings." he quietly teased and laughed. If Balon was being honest with himself he had a strong desire to spend the majority of the evening with her. Not in that way.
Pushing away his carnal thoughts he asked, "How long have you been a lady-in-waiting at Highgarden?BotB, Sybelle, Persuasion (Charm) + Chivalry + Compelling: 3#5d6k3+4 16 18 17Objective: Disposition Increase, Will yield for +2 to both Technique: Charm (5d6k3+4*) Charm: 4*/Dos DR: 4 ID: 11 Composure: 11/11 *Special from Event: Compelling (Charm) - you may add +2 to all test results, and do +1 base influence.

"Ser knows how to flatter" She answers politely, a cautious type, a pretty bird singing pretty words, though not naive, ladies in waiting to Lady Rhonda rarely are. In truth she repeats these phrases to try and keep this knight at a distance, so that she could tell her father if he asks that Ser Balon Blackbriar did not catch her fancies or offer any sort of interesting conversation, for a good and proper lady should never have to lie, that would be to lower herself and to offend the seven that are one. But nothing stops her from ensuring that the present is shaped to be exactly how she wishes to retell it in the future. Father and his old Dornish hatreds that blinded him so, could he not see that this was no man that house Oakheart should ever associate itself with? Sometimes good and proper daughters must help their fathers in any way they can without being disobedient, for a good and proper lady should never have to be disobedient, that would be to lower herself and to offend the seven that are one. "I have had that honor for six years or so, ser. "My lady, if I was flattering you that'd imply I was being insincere and I promise you I am not." Balon was being playful "Let us call it a genuine praise." As they danced he watched to see which moves she enjoyed the most then made sure to repeat them. He continued with small talk, "Six years? That's a long time to be from home." Balon looked around, "Though if there was any consolation to home it'd be Highgarden." Looking for common ground he continued, "I was at Starpike from eight to fourteen. It was hard at times but I was fortunate to have my brother with me." Balon looked into her eyes, "What do you miss most about home?"
Balon will lose by R4 with or without 'A' influencing Balon's disposition. Yield Offer: +2 Disposition each.

"My family" She offers. "Highgarden has everything else a lady could ever want"
Nope, she's outmatching you, so you can yield for her winning for 2 disposition gain, but not getting +1D to the next intrigue.

You can yield for her winning for 2 disposition gain, but not getting +1D to the next intrigue. Agreed. "Lord Tyrell is your uncle, is he not? I know it makes a poor substitute for parents and siblings but that should count for something." Balon was being sympathetic. He had little in common with his uncle but found himself many friends among his cousins at Starpike. "I've been told that Lady Rhonda is very selective in her ladies-in-waiting. What talent do you possess that caught her eye? Dancing? Singing? The harp perhaps?"I don't have anything really specific so unless she does we can wrap this up.

"The Lady has an eye for talent, and a passion for nurturing it with water and light when found, though I would hardly call it selective when half the young maids of the Reach are her ladies in waiting" She chirps along, more than half the young maids in the Reach, if one counted the ones that truly mattered, and just about everyone his mother's shortlist.
Yeah, can call it a scene, she'll just do smalltalk that isn't all that entertaining to write.

"The Lady has an eye for talent, and a passion for nurturing it with water and light when found..." Balon elaborated on the metaphor used by Sybelle, "That she does. I look forward to seeing what talents blossom from you." There was no innuendo or sexualization in his words but Balon mentally kicked himself. Near the end of the dance Balon winced in pain during a spin, "My apologies my lady. I was injured today when rescuing Ser Aladore and it seems I've aggravated my wounds." Thankfully the dance ended, "There's nothing more I'd like to do than dance the night away with you but I believe I need to sit down for a bit." Balon bowed and thanked her again for before heading for the edge of the square. While he stood he couldn't help but notice Ashara. Fucking hells.[/scene]
