My Gods it was a busy day. Alliser stalked from the meeting in the courtyards with his wife, both waking briskly back to camp. They had just finished their enlightening meeting with Lady Alicient, and Alliser felt a strong desire to seek out Roland. He had a strong feeling that Ser Roland might become much more popular in the very near future.
He dropped of his wife with a kiss on the forehead. He grabbed the ring that was set in the jewellery cup next to thet ornate mirror and he attached it to a chain that he then slid over his neck.
Alliser then moved quickly, seeking his target say the tournament Field, he hoped that he was still like the tournament and was not galavanting through the woods like some questing Knight.

Lord Levalle came upon Roland as the latter was handing his gauntlets to his squire, Hugh Blackwood. The knight was fresh from his swift sixth round victory over Lord Darklyn.
Seven be kind, the Spongeholder again.
Roland carried on, making sure Fortitude's saddle was properly affixed and his armour still well laced. His hair shirt scratched like fury in the Reach's heat.
He did not call over to Lord Levalle, but steeled himself for whatever plot the man was spinning.

Alliser catches sight of the knight and makes his way over, "Hello Roland, I see a suspicious lack of dust so I am guessing a congratulations are in order for advancing to the next round," He jokes merrily. He seems a bit more tense then when I first met him. Must be nerves at making it so far in the tournament.
"Ser, I know our conversation did not go well yesterday about Ser Robyn joining your team, so I put some more thought into it. I think I have something that may help you at tonight's dance," he offers.

Roland bowed, as much as his stomach turned at acknowledging the infamous plotter.
"My lord Levalle is kind. My condolences to your son, but he did well to make it to the sixth round and Ser Titus is truly his father's son in skill and temperament."
Roland paused, giving Alliser a chance to fill the silence with an offer or to draw out an uneasy silence.

he surprised me for sure. "My kindness is returned by your words, Ser." He does not let the silence linger, filling it with words of gratitude. "He did do remarkably well too be sure. I'm just glad he did not draw a lot against Otho after what he did to Mikel." He states solemnly.
"Do you have plans to join the moonlight dance tonight Ser?"Alliser inquires rhetorically, suspecting he already knew the answer.

Roland nods, his sympathies already prompted by the mention of his injured friend. In such a way does a Levalle trap his prey.
"It is a sacred tradition and I bear Lady Janna's favour, how could I do anything but attend?"

Alliser smiles, "just as a proper Knight should." He of handedly checks the surroundings, ensuring that no one was giving them undue attention.
"What if you could give Lady Janna a dance to remember? One that she will never forget?" He reached to the chain dangling around his neck and pulls out a fabulous ring from the grand masquerade that occurred only a week ago, still fresh in everyone's mind.
After Alliser ensures that the young Knight see it he puts it back into his shirt. "How many young women could say that they have danced with the king of the ball?" He asks

Lord Levalle must have eyes and ears everywhere, I was planning to make inquiries latter as to what kind of gift Lady Janna would favour. I had only mentioned such to my squire!
Perhaps the avenue Alliser chose was a mere coincidence, but Roland was wary of scheming from such a man, crediting him with more than he could likely know.
"An ill omen, to be visited by the Stranger at a tournament that has seen so much death. I should have known you were too canny to favour an obvious house emblem as so many others did."
If Lord Levalle was the Stranger, then presumably the Fox I learned of slandering Lady Alicent Yronwood was Ser Aladale Levalle and not Lord Levalle after all? Unsurprising that such a House would seek to take advantage of her unfortunate situation.
[OOC: Awareness (Empathy) 8 to pick-up on Roland referring to Ser Aladale's outfit, 2 DoS picks up that Roland bears some resentment at what he perceives as broader Levalle rumour mongering at the Masquerade targeted at those he cares about.]
He shook his head.
"If she were to say it with pride each word would fill me with shame instead of honour, for I would know those words to be a lie."
"I am sure my Lord Levalle means me a kindness, but I cannot accept."

Day 8 rings and rumors awareness empathy tn 8: 6d6k4 21Alliser raises his eyebrows, a Knight who takes lying seriously, even if it might please one he is trying to impress. The conviction is admirable, if misplaced. He must be talking of my brothers costume and a rumour he spread at the party. He must have feelings for Lady Alicient, even if he does not admit it, even to himself. Well played my Lady, well played. "I meant no offense good Ser, and I did not mean to fill you with shame by my gift. I just wished it to be of use to a good man, rather then languish as a prize, forgotten in my chest." He gives a courtly bow, "I will trouble you no further. There is much to do now, as we seek my Lord's heirs captors." He gives a pause, then mentions as what appears an after thought, "having such a good Knight such as yourself help apprehend those responsible would be a boon. Perhaps I will call on you again should I discover where the thread ends." And with that Lord Alliser is off, his graying black head disappearing into the crowd with nary a backwards glance.
