Parmen had been expecting Lord Lancel, but instead it was Lady Jeyne that came to meet at the appointed time, accompanied by a handmaiden. "Ah, good Ser Parmen, my lord Lancel is unfortunately occupied with attending matters concerning the assault upon his dear nephew, it was a good thing that this steward of yours came by when he did, please do extend our gratitude" She sizes him up greedily with her eyes, most unbecoming of a married lady, but few men would object to it. "But I would scarce let the opportunity to secure that my Lord Lancel will have the very best chances of having the joy of being on the winning team, so here I am, ser"

Well what have we here...
"Lord Lancel is truly fortunate to have such a devoted wife. Please do extend my deepest well wishes for your nephew. I will let Malyk know that his efforts were recognized and appreciated. Tell me, during these difficult times is there any way that I can be of assistance to you or your husband."

"Ah, first we shall find your cousin Ser Lewyn and see if he can't help us sway Lord Tyrell to join your brother, then I surely I can think of something, ser" Her mischievous smile and the way she says it would make a man hope for the chance to help her satisfy an uncontrollable lust.
It is easy enough to ask one's way to the master at arms, Ser Lewyn is in the courtyard organizing all the men returning from the search, it would appear that Lord Gormon, Bittersteel, Ser Addam Velaryon and Ser Balon Blackbriar rescued him, though it might take hours before those news reach all those searching for them. He gives the approaching pair a slightly tired look, probably been at this since early morning. "Cousin, do you need something?" Lewyn is the son of Ser Flement, Parmen's granduncle, one of many talented Redwynes that had found the Arbor so full of cousins of even greater prowess that they had sought service elsewhere.
She's just tagging along to give you +2 on every test as hmm, call it moral support, or someone to push oneself harder in order to impress. Intrigue required to make Ser Lewyn agree to help.

Thank you cousin. It is good to see that the search has gone well. I wish to ask about Lord Tyrell’s plans for the melee. If he has not yet chosen a team to support, I am certain that my brother Roland would be honored to fight beside him.

"I would expect nothing less from the Longthorn. Which is why a team of Redwyne's and Tyrell's would be nigh unstoppable. Ser Lancel completes the squad. The crowds of small folk and noble lords and ladies alike will wear out their voices cheering the spectacle that Lord Tyrell has provided for them. Especially after he emerges as one of the victors."

Okay so you have: Intrigue defense which is cunning+awareness+status, so 10, add chivalry bonus that makes it 12. Your DR is probably 3 (amiable) because he's a cousin. Composure is Will*3+chivalry bonus so 11.
Jeyne gives you +2 on those tests, chivalry +2 and if you're amiable another +1 from that. (Which I forgot for him, but that doesn't matter). If your DR is 3, then your composure goes: 8/11->5/11->2/11->2/11 (2 frustration)->2/11 (3 frustration). His composure goes: 8/11->2/11->2/11(1 frustration)->2/11(3 frustration)->All out of frustration.
So you win.
If that's still confusing, some fellow player can probably walk you through it.

Thank you cousin. Your assistance in this matter is appreciated and with your help I am certain that Lord Tyrell can be convinced to join Roland's team.

Lady Jeyne is bold enough to ask if maybe they could see Lord Tyrell and ask him, a wish that is granted. Lord Leo appears happy enough to receive them, though reluctant to commit himself to joining a team. "Perhaps I should watch the whole thing from the stands, I am the host after all?"
Also speeding up because hoping to get to day 9 sooner rather than later. It is because you are the host that I ask you to join our team. Highgarden and the Arbor can ride together to show all who have attended the valor and skills of arms of the Reach and remember this tournament for years to come for the excellence they saw upon the field of battle.

Lord Tyrell seems an honorable sporting sort, reluctant to use his great renown to draw others along with him. Jeyne is in equal part consoling, Ser Lewyn is a good catch, is he not? But how to restore Ser Parmen's confidence, hmm?
You forgot disposition bonus, but that's not making much difference, status 7 and lordly chivalry is a powerful combination, so Lord Leo wins himself +2 disposition and +1D to next intrigue. Simple Intrigue(Seduce): 5d6 19 I believe that's a test will or fall to temptation.

{D8}Recruiting: Lascivious: Will: 3d6 14. {OOC: Not a bad roll but not enough. I'm assuming Chivalry points don't apply here?} I lose. Oh darn.
Frustrated by his failure to recruit the Longthorn Parmen was easily seduced by Lady Jayne.
