With the approvals of Tourney Master and the crowd, the two knights draw swords and Titus proves quicker on the charge, catching his opponent off guard with a powerful side-swipe. Not enough to bring the knight low, but a strong start. CD: 11 AR: 10 Health: 13/13 Damage: 6 (5+1True Knight) Charging Ser Simon: 6d6k3 15 - 2 DoS 8 dmg/DoS (+2 Charging) =16-10AP= 6 dmg

Try as he might, Ser Simon as yet could not find a way through Ser Titus's stout defence and sturdy armour. Lesser action: Aim Lesser action: Attack R5 C1 Fighting - Aim: 8d6k4+1 18CD: 10 AR: 10 Health: 6/12

His armour withered the blow from Sir Simon and in response Titus struck at his opponent, catching his left arm as his shield dropped.

Ser Simon bull rushed Titus, forcing him to one knee but failing to land the telling blow that such a maneuver promised. Lesser action: R5 C2 Knockdown: 4d6k3 17Lesser action: R5 C2 Attack (+1B): 8d6k4+1 17 - 2 DoS = (5 damage +1 v prone opponent) x2 = 12 - 10 = 2 damage AR: 10 Health: 4/12

Falling to one knee after the Tarly's savage tackle, Titus lashes out in defence, catching Ser Simon in the side, he continues to swipe at his legs, while not enough to harm but it send him to the ground just like Titus.
CD: 11 AR: 10 Health: 11/13 Damage: 6 Lesser Action: Attack 2 v Ser Simon: 6d6k4 17 - 2 DoS Lesser Action: Knockdown 2 v Ser Simon: 4d6 14(I realise I should probably have done that the other way around...) 2 dmg and now prone

Desperate now, Ser Simon finally struck a strong blow, feinting at Titus's helm before catching him under the armpit on the backswing. Would such prove too little, too late? Lesser action: Aim Lesser action: R5 C3 Fighting + Aim: 9d6k4+1 21 3 DoS = 18 Damage - 10 AR = 8 damage AR: 10 Health: 2/12 [OOC: narrator, any guidance on how far I should go in accepting injuries?]

The blow hurt like hell but Titus repayed in kind with a strong blow against Ser Simon’s side, which might have proven enough to fell the man. CD:11 AR: 10 Base damage: 6 Health: 3/13 Lesser Action: Aim Lesser Action: Attack 4 (Aim) v Ser Simon: 7d6k4 22 - 3 DoS (Should your Health not be 2/12 after my last hit? Also does the bonus from attacking a prone opponent still apply when oneself is prone?)

Adrenaline surged through Simon's veins. He give a guttural shout, his house words long forgotten at the end of an exhausting match. His sword crashes down on Ser Titus's helm - a painful blow, but likely not enough to guarantee his opponent is subdued. 21 Damage to Ser Simon - 10 AR = 11 Damage - he takes three injuries to reduce the damage to zero. Takes a fatigue to ignore injury penalties on his attack. Greater action: R5 C4 Reckless Attack: 9d6k5 23 - 3 DoS = 18 Damage - 10 AR = 8 Damage CD: 10-5 = 5 (Reckless attack) AR: 10 Health: 2/12 Injuries: 3/4 Fatigue: 1 [OOC: correct! I have corrected my post above, many apologies and hope it didn't sway your tactics. Also, shouldn't you be at 8d6k4 - Fighting 4, Longblades 2b, opponent prone, aim. Attack bonus against prone opponent applies even if you're prone: "Fighting attacks against a prone combatant are at +1b and gain +1 base damage, though any non-attack action gains +1D, the movement of a prone combatant is half normal, and he cannot charge or sprint." Thanks to our narrator for instructions on injuries to take and tactics.]

For a third time today Titus’ vision blurred as the brutal blow was brought down on his head, all thoughts about Balon and what was to come was gone. Gritting through the pain he takes aim at Ser Simon now very exposed armpit and swings. CD: 11 AR: 10 Damage: 6 Health: 3/13 (takes 2 Injuries ignoring 8 dmg) Injury: 2/4 (takes 1 Fatigue) Fatigue: 1 Lesser Action: Aim Lesser Action: Attack 5 (Aim, Prone) v Ser Simon: 8d6k4 19-1 Fatigue= 18 - 3 DoS 7dmg/DoS=21-10= 11 dmgEdit: corrected use of Injuries

Ser Simon staggered, blood staining his surcoat despite his thick plate. For the moment, the crowd paid such little heed, cheering a skilled and fiercely contested upset!
[OOC: defeated as even taking a fourth injury gives enough damage for defeat so no point taking the injury. Victor chooses consequences of defeat.
Ransom: Full Plate Superior Destrier
Edit: taking two injuries reduces the damage Titus receives from 8 to 0, so your Health should still be positive, and then returns to full as soon as combat ends. The injuries persist however.]

Using his sword to prop himself up, Titus gets to his feet and raises and arm to the cheers of the crows. He salutes his opponent and House Tarly as the tourney assistants take him off to the maesters - somewhere Titus would have to join him shortly, he was sure. He felt as if on fire and the day was not yet over.
A nod to Lady Deana as he limps of the field.
[Consequence of Defeat: Bruises and a few broken bones, but alive.]
