Daeron was looking forward to a match that held fairly low stakes compared to his previous ones. He didn't have to worry about a lady's favor, had already earned enough silver to cover any ransom and still come out well ahead, and there were no major affairs of honor at stake. Ser Addam Frey was a mystery to him though, coming all the way down from the north from a house that some Companions called "the Levalles of the Riverlands". KYO-Round 4-Addam Frey: 3d6 10

Ser Franklyn is regarded as one of the best jousters the Riverlands has to offer, and certainly the hero of the twins. Daeron have not managed to pick up anything about any uncommon or favored tactics.

Feeling fully recovered from his melee against the crowd, Daeron was back and ready to hit some people with pointy things. By now his tactic of reckless aggression was probably known to most jousters that he'd face in this tourney, but he didn't care. There was no way that gripping the sides of your horse harder would be enough for the type of blows he was accustomed to giving. Saluting his opponent, he grips his lance tightly before spurring Argent into action down the lines, giving it all he had with a devastating attack.
Going Noble, High in Seat, Aggressive 3, Heightened Stakes (someone is getting unhorsed this round) R4 vs Addam Frey-T1-Noble+HiS+Ag3+HS: 6d6k4+8 25 (2 DOS) (5 damage per DOS with Noble, so 0 to Addam) (TN 20 to SiS) R4 vs Addam-T1-SiS-HiS: 5d6k3-3 13R4 Vs Addam-T1-CYB: 4d6 17PR: 11 (14-3) AR: 9 Health: 12/12 Courser

It was brief, but was a clash! Both knights were thrown from their mounts, despite Ser Addam's attempts to brace himself against Ser Daeron's wild style. A great cheer went up from the crowd, as keen as ever to see matters resolver with steel and by now expecting as much from Ser Daeron. Seasoned observers in the crowd noted that even if Ser Daeron had suffered a severe fall it may yet be a close run thing, given the royal bastard's proficiency as a swordsman. R4 P1 N, Braced, HS;SiS;CyB: 5d6k3+4 21 6d6k4 14+2 (braced) = 16 4d6 14 - 3 DoS = 9 damage per dos/2 (noble) = 4.5 x 3 = 13.5 = 13 damage - 10 AR = 3 damage + further damage for falling - Suffers 10 damage through AR for falling from horse, recover 3 from Catch your Breath PR: 20 AR: 10 Health: 11/12 [OOC: will roll initiative once I have appropriate stats . Edit: and apologies to Ser Titus - I'd rolled already and was already typing things up... Perhaps we should come up with a system for dividing these?]

Ser Addam's blow was savage, the hardest that Daeron had felt in this tourney so far. He saw a splatter of blood come from his direction as he was knocked to the ground, but he knew that he gave it just as good as he got. Shit. I hope that strike didn't damage my armor. Master Pate will not be happy with me if he has to repair it again.Summoning an inner reserve of power he springs to his feet hoping to regain his initiative and defeat the Riverlands knight before he knows what hit him.
I think going Noble reduces the base damage from falling as well, so Ser Addam should be 10/12 (Source: previous jousts that Father has adjudicated) CD: 14 (10+4 from ignoring AP) AR: 9 Health: 7/12 *Taking a point of Fatigue to ignore AP on Init. Does it also count for this first round of CD?* R4 vs Addam-Init: 4d6k3 13

Fatigue spent in first round for initiative does apply to first round, yes.
3 DoS+falling off horse is 4*9=36, so 18 with noble and armor takes 9 of that (which is exceeded before the falling off damage is factored in), then 4 restored by CyB so Daeron's Health looks on target. Daeron would do 3*7 so 21, but since AR only applies to the first two 7's and take all of it, he takes 3.5 (which is rounded up) for falling off, so 1 damage after CyB.
Combat stats: Agility 3 Athletics 3 Awareness 3 Endurance 4 Fighting 4 Long Blades 2, Lances 2
Superior Large Shield, Superior Longsword, Full Plate.

Ser Addam's arms and armour were a testament to both his winnings as a tourney champion and the wealth of the Twins. With the Riverlander still dazed from Ser Daeron's blow, it was clear the Companion had the initiative. R4 Agility -AP: 3d6-4 2CD: 9 Health: 11/12 [OOC: Narrator, can I double check the fatigue in round 1 timing? Fatigue's ignoring AP applies "until the start of your next turn" while destiny is more generously "Ignore Armour Penalty for one round".]

Given his superior positioning, Daeron could have toyed with the Frey knight to put on a better show for the crowd; however, such games were beneath him. Ser Addam was an honorable knight who didn't deserve such a treatment and Ser Daeron knew that such arrogance is how one snatches defeat from the jaws of victory. Daeron permitted his opponent a moment to stand and prepare to defend himself, but little more before he closed the distance between them with his blade flashing from low to high catching Ser Addam in his ribs. The low thud of his sword colliding with Addam's armor belied its intensity as the Frey knight was physically lifted off of his feet before landing on his back. A hale and veteran knight only moments ago was now a crumpled heap.
I have a feeling that it's not about to matter regardless. R4 vs Addam-R1-Charge: 8d6k4+1 19 (3 DOS) 7 damage per DOS, so 21-10=11 damage to Ser Addam, dropping him to 0 Health, unless he'd like to take an injury?

Nah, not when he's unlikely to win in the first place.

It appeared as if Ser Addam Frey's arm moved to push him back to his feet and continue the bout.
But appearances can be deceiving, as reinforced by every old wife's tale.
It was no more than a twitch, a spasm. Yet another knight had fallen to Ser Daeron's blade as he continued to cut an unconventional swathe through the tournament.

Seeing his opponent begin to move made Daeron nervous, for what kind of knight could weather a blow that devastating? However, he gave a small sigh of relief when he realized that his fears were overblown on this. Sheathing his sword, he bent down to help Ser Addam to his feet.
"Well fought good ser, I don't think my shield will ever shine the same way after just one tilt with you! House Frey must be proud of their champion."
