Answering the vicious words of Lady Mya Rivers is her half-brother, Ser Normyn. Accused of having partaken in sin with the wife of his own brother, he does not salute his opponent, but rides to the end of the line with cold fury in his pose. Ser Garth Redwyne of the kingsguard does not appear too happy in having to have to once again answer for her sharp tongue. His jousting is disciplined and steady, but Ser Normyn almost matches him in talent and makes up for it with anger. Slamming Ser Garth's chest with a force and fury that ordinarily have no place in the joust, but when so insulted, who could blame him? Ser Garth is driven to a defensive posture. For six rounds they go on like that until Ser Garth's focus on defending himself and the fatigue of absorbing one brutal blow after the other causes his aim to slip and his lance misses it's mark. The man of the kingsguard is added to the list of notable names that no longer will feature in the competition. Under different circumstances, he might have been granted a draw, but he already were given one free pass after the first round. And twice Lady Mya have used him as a shield for speaking ill of others, perhaps fancying that with Ser Garth riding for her, she might do so with impunity. Apparently not so any longer. Ser Normyn might not have proven himself the most gallant of jousters, but the vicious slander have been shown to be nothing but filthy lies. For surely, the warrior favored Ser Normyn today?
If one believes in such things, that is.
