Still on the high from his earlier match again Bloodraven, Aerion is in great spirits as he makes his way back to the lists. The no-name squire that has become a fast friend to him goes about making sure all is as it should be. He offers another bit of insight into the performance of Aerion's latest opponent, and Aerion offers another prayer to the Warrior before taking his place for the second time that day on the field. His latest acquisition, the favour of Lady Sheira, shines brightly in the afternoon sun.
With his squire's assessment that he's not the greatest of rider's, Aerion decided to play the first round a little bit safer. He set's his heels deep in his stirrups for some added defense, and decides to test how Prince Maekar handle raising the stakes.

The Prince makes an impressive figure, though he is young and yet to reach his prime.
You're doing braced? Fits with the modifiers but isn't noted. Also there isn't any Tourney Knight bonus to stay in saddle, just passive AH?
Maekar got: AH 3D+2B Endurance 5 Resilience 2 (tough) Fighting 4D+2B Superior Full Plate Superior Destrier (which gives bonuses)
Goes Noble.

Ugh, goes to show I need more sleep than I'm getting. Mixed up braced and defensive options, and included half of each.
Will reroll or add only one/other/both if you'd like.
Passive Animal Handling (with the noted maneuvers) is 23.

Nah, stick to the dice-rolling code which should mean no braced and a 19 to stay in saddle.

Prince Maekar's first blow is poor and finds nothing but air, such is Ser Aerion's horsemanship. Still, he kept his saddle and gave himself a chance to redeem himself in the second pass. R3 P1 N;SiS;CyB: 5d6k3+3 11 5d6k3+1 14 5d6 11PR: 15 (inc Superior Destrier) Health: 15/15 AR: 10

Somewhat surprised that the prince's lance didn't even make contact, he turns around and sets himself for another pass. This time, altering his positioning and going a little more aggressive, but making sure that the prince will at least land a shot so as not to embarrass him. As they pass for the second time, Aerion brings his lance up just catching the tip of the prince's helmet, sending it, and hopefully him as well, flying through the air and into the crowd. In doing so, his foot slips in the stirrup, and he finds himself battling to remain in his seat unexpectedly. The crowd cheers at both the unmasking and his precarious position. [OOC: pausing briefly to check if our Narrator wants any change in tactics from the Prince after he was behind in the first pass, then I'll get on with the show!]

Hmmm, his only chance now is to unhorse his opponent so Aggressive+High in Saddle+Eyes Fixed+Noble. He'd ordinarily do heightened stakes also, but that won't affect the outcome.

If he goes aggressive, then it bumps it to 4 DoS (if my math is right), and makes it TN 22 to stay in saddle (I think he can't make this?)

The Prince's blow was almost firm enough to force Ser Aerion from his mount, but instead the Great Bastard kept his seat and left his trueborn relative in the mud in spectacular style. Show-off means no damage so no need.

Aerion again swings his horse around and dismounts, helping the Prince to his feet and giving him a solid hand on his shoulder. "Give it a year or two, and I doubt you'll be hitting the dirt at all lest it's in the finals, dārilaros."
