Mikel had relaxed as much as he could between rounds with the exception of his trip to the Merryweather pavilions. Once it became clear his next match was coming he began warming up himself and his horse and took some tilts at a quintain and used that time to quiet his mind before taking his place across the field from Ser Paxter Crane. He saluted him and waited for the signal to begin.

The heir to Red Lake salutes his opponent and prepares to face him head on, knowing that Ser Mikel is slightly better. But the difference is no larger than that there is certainly hope for at least a draw.

As Mikel rides back to the side he started at he watches Ser Crane rise and says that it was an honor to share the field with him and he wishes him well in the future.
