Ser Aemon Flowers follows the example of Lord Willem, bringing down Ser Rennifer Waters with a mighty blow. The true bastardy of his opponent shows as Ser Rennifer aims for Ser Aemon's head, just as Ser Bryce did, and the strike he delivers makes a gasp run through the crowd, how Ser Rennifer killed his previous opponent and how Ser Otho nearly did in Ser Mikel the day before fresh in their memories. Ser Aemon does not protest when the maester wants him out on the gurney, but he salutes Lady Lysette and spits in the direction of his opponent long before the maester gets there to tell him to lie down. Ser Robb Reyne and Lord Marq Durwell, the duel caused by Lady Amerei and Lady Tanda mouthing off against each other promises to be the most exciting one of this round, at least in terms of the skill of the jousters involved. The crowds cheer as Lord Marq copies Lord Tyrell in his pairing against Ser Garth Redwyne and rips off the helm to expose the Red Lion's mane. The cheers grow louder as Ser Robb calls for another lance, knowing that his only chance now likely lies in unhorsing his opponent, the Red Lion throws all he has behind his second strike, throwing caution to the wind and landing a blow that seems impossible to withstand, as expected Lord Marq has little difficulty exploiting the wide opening thus created and Ser Robb had little chance keeping his seat, but somehow, his aim was off by just enough that Lord Marq stays on the saddle by miraculous ways. He salutes the beaming Lady Tanda and pretends not to notice the darkening mood of Lady Amerei, while checking that his opponent is alright, Lord Karl Willum may have gotten a bit too deep in his cups and blathered about old men like Ser Tywin in less than polite terms, though all in good spirits of course. He seems rather too eager to test his mettle against the famous knight that dominated the lists and matched the Longthorn for years before Blackfyre and Breakspear grew into their prime and he started to become a little too far removed from his. Still a name that no knight preferring to progress far would like to face so early. Lord Karl's energy matches Ser Tywin's experience, however, and some even think he had a bit of an upper hand, though others note that Ser Tywin was much better balanced and had the match gone on like that, they would keep matching blows until Lord Willum's luck would run out and his risky tactics lead to his fall. Whatever the case might be, Ser Lewyn calls it a draw and everyone agrees that this is a fair result in a good match. Lord Donnel Arryn puts up a heroic effort against Prince Baelor, breaking his lances and keeping his seat throughout all three passes, the prince is awarded the victory as he clearly outmatches his opponent. Ser Vardis of Kingsbridge captain of the companions, a local from Kingsbridge, let's out his rage and frustration against Ser Kevan Oakheart in a way that shocks most who knows him, did he perhaps long for Megelle to be more than a friend? He slams his lance straight into Ser Kevan's vizor, had it been Ser Eldon he faced, he could perhaps be forgiven. Lord Willem storms after him in a black mood, clearly disapproving. Ser Kevan lies lifeless on the field, the maester bending over him shakes his head in frustration. Lord Leo Tyrell and Ser Wyl Waynwood clashes together mightily, knights without their robustness and steady seat in the saddle might have both perished exchanging such blows, but both take it like true men, the Valeman is ripped out of his saddle, however. Lord Damon Lannister unhorses Ser Desmond Bridges without much fanfare or question of who is the better jouster. Lord Gormon Peake and Ser Selmond Footly rides to a draw, which could have tipped either way with a bit more fortune, though many think that Ser Selmond already had a lot of that. Ser Gwayne Corbray unhorses Ser Florian Mooton in the first tilt. Lord Hallis Lowther keeps his seat for the first tilt against Ser Willem Wylde, breaking both his lances, but the Kingsguard adjusts his aim for the second tilt and gives him no chance at a third go. Ser Quentin Cordwayner and Ser Arlan Green jousts to a draw, with Ser Quentin probably holding the upper hand. Ser Farman Flowers and Ser Donnel of Duskendale break all their lances and keeps their seats throughout all three tilts, but the Great Bastard is awarded the victory for a stronger showing. Ser Jasper Flowers and Ser Raymun Hightower also jousts to a draw, all lances broken and both keeping their seats. Ser Jasper is perhaps displaying greater prowess, but not by enough to be awarded the victory.
