It had been almost five days since Daeron arrived at Highgarden with the rest of the Starling entourage, but this was the first time that he had taken the opportunity to visit the Golden Rose for some alone time. The drinks offered here were better than what he could find at Kingsbridge, even if the company wasn't. Taking in some of the Arbor's finest wines, he took a moment to listen to loose lips and to wag his own tongue a little bit. A salt and pepper haired Lord in a white linen jerkin entered the golden Rose, it's namesake the color of the badge on his man so arms tunic. Giving the man a small amount of coin he dismissed the guard. His brown observant eyes lay to rest on the silver haired Knight and a warm look comes to the tan wrinkled Lord's face. He makes his way across the crowded evening floor and approaches the table of the young Knight.
"May I join you?" Alliser inquired of the three seated Knight.

Daeron recognized the man, obviously, just the day before he had offered his sword arm to the man over Otho Bracken’s vile outburst. His feelings ambivalent, he offers a smile and waves his hand at the seat next to him before motioning the barkeep to bring more wine.
“Lord Levalle, to what do I owe the honor?”

Lord Alliser laughs, "the honor is mine. One if the Kingsbridge champions indeed. I see you have developed an interesting strategy regarding the joust. One I think your brother Daemon might adopt himself someday." Lowering his voice he continues, "I am sorry to hear about Lady Megelle. I am glad my son was able to throw his gauntlet into the pile to correct this Injustice." He raises his voice again, "bring a pitcher of pure fossway cider as well." Alliser calls to the barkeep.

Daeron gives a humorously exasperated sigh.
“Once is circumstance, twice is coincidence, thrice must be strategy, though I hope that I can make it through the rest of the tourney without having to on foot like that.” He then offers a laugh.
At the mention of Megelle his face darkens and his hand clenches his glass dangerously hard. “Eldon and his false knight have long been a cancer on chivalry in the Reach and though I don’t believe the “good” lord to be responsible for the assassination attempt on his betrothed, he’s still a vile man who deserves to be hung from any tree that could support him.
I am glad to follow a lord who is enough of a man to stand up for what’s right and respond to such an insult to his honor.”

Alliser nods, "your Lord did make very large impression on folks both great and small. I was moved myself, " the Lord's tone was sincere, but there was an undercurrent of something else. interesting, I wonder if he has some clue as to why Eldon would not have attempted the assassination.
"So have you met Lord Eldon's brother. What's your opinion on him?"

“Ser Owen? I’ve never met the man, but given the low bar set by Lord Eldon, I can only imagine that he would be a preferable replacement. Especially if justice is served and Lord Piggy gets his balls chopped off with a hot knife.”

Probably how most people feel about Lord Eldon and Ser Owen. "I've heard he is a reputable knight, unlike his brother. It is a shame that Lord Eldon will likely skip the knife due to his position."
Alliser snorts, "Eldon, Balon, bracken, and assassins of Lord Hightower. This seems to be the most heavily weighed tournament on the status of knighthood that I can recall. It is truly a shame that accidents don't occur to these bad actors." He gives a sigh, "does your Lord have legal plan to ensure that Lord piggy gets his just desserts?"

Knowing a fishing expedition when he saw one, Daeron’s tone took a cautious turn.
“I can’t speak to what my lord’s intentions are, but he is an honorable man who would never act inappropriately.” Quickly changing the topic he asks,
“What about you? Who have you decided upon to act as your champion against Otho?”

(my I'd is 16 right now. 2 from adept negotiator and two from the free action deception act. the other 12 comes from awareness 4 cunning 4 and status 4.
My passive deception act is 4*4 + 2 from specialty die +4 from courteous, so read Target is shooting for 22, I do not know what your base awarenesses with specialty die is but you probably wouldn't try for that.
My shield of rep tn for you is 18, so if you have status 5 with specialty die you should be able to hit that.)
