Ser Aladale was in a great mood despite the grave rumors that seemed inescapable on the Tourney Grounds. He was still part of the competition and that alone counted for now. "First a tower now a fox, I guess that has to be seen as progress...", he mumbled to himself as the matchups for round two were announced. Ser Jon was the youngest brother of his liege lord but other than that, he knew very little about the man. And so, Aladale made his usual round trying to gather information before preparing for the match. KYO Jon Florent: 5d6k3 14

Ser Jon is, like most of his family, rather unremarkable at the lists. He exchanges a glance with Aladale suggesting that perhaps they should go a little bit easy on each other, both would proceed on a draw after all.

Jon absorbed Aladale's blow and took another lance from his squire, ready for another pass.

Aladale returned the glance and closed his visor. With a Florent, he could at least count on pragmatism and that he could get behind. As the signal was given, he lowered his lance and charged, the crowd disappearing in a blur as he only focused on his opponent. As the two horses closed the gap between them, Aladale's lance slightly shifted to the right leading to only a glancing blow. Passive Ride: 14 (16 in 1st round) AR: 10 (if Alliser is paying for full plate ransom, I might as well use it) Health: 9/9 R2T1 - Jon Florent (Noble, incl. reroll from BotA): 6d6k3+3 15 - 1 DoS

Aladale too grabbed another lance and turned around for the second pass. What a difference compared to his first round opponent. If he could hold on for the next two rounds he would proceed to round three. The signal came again and Aladale spurred his horse once more. His lance found its mark but just as in the first round, the blow was relatively weak barley braking the lance. TN14 for Aladale to SiSSer Jon had managed to stay upright after his first pass and felt a little more confident in his skills. Perhaps it'd been sheer luck that allowed Aladale to beat Ser Ormond, or knowing House Levalle something more sinister, but Aladale seemed a little more vulnerable than Jon had anticipated. As he rode down the line he didn't turn his head, wanting to make sure strong hit against Ser Aladale. The lance struck hard against his opponent and Jon was able to keep himself upright.

[2DoS to 4DoS that is a draw, correct?]

Correct, both broke three lances and gap between DoS <3 so it is a draw during the first three rounds, both progress.
"First, three tilts will be made, should one rider unhorse the other, or one break more lances than the other, he will be declared the winner. Otherwise there will be a draw. -During the first three rounds, a draw means that both jousters may usually proceed as there are always some who cannot continue despite winning, if one jouster achieves 3 more DoS over his opponent, he is awarded the victory (and wins the ransom), in which case his opponent is typically eliminated."

Yeah, Lord Shermer up next (Jon Florent gets some nameless nobody which he scores a draw against).
