Ser Desmond is one of several knights of the crownlands having attached themselves to the royal retinue, hoping for glory at the lists. He had surely hoped for an opponent more easily defeated than Donnel in the early rounds, however.
Animal Handling 4, Ride 2. Endurance 4 Fighting 4, Lance 2 Destrier Full Plate
He goes noble, EF and High in Saddle to have a shot against that PR, his best hope is probably a draw (less than 3 DoS difference over three tilts), so he might go all in aggressive and heightened stakes in the last tilt if it looks like he needs to swing an unhorsing.

Ser Desmond was almost able to tell the rest of the King's court that he had struck a firm blow against the doughty Ser Donnel, but alas, almost is not good enough. In contrast, Ser Donnel's well placed blow sends his foe to the ground with a thump. R2 P1 N/EF/HiS, SiS, CyB: 5d6k3+7 20 6d6k4-3 8 4d6 15- 2 DoS from Donnel = TN 14 to stay in Saddle (fails) - Not defeated by damage - Ransom: Destrier & full plate

Ser Donnel rides over to ensure his opponent suffered no injury, helps him up, then bows to the crowd, and returns to his tent.
