Looks like a pretty thorough list! Chucking some ideas round in case they give you some good tools to use/are existing plots you'd like to continue (e.g. Blackwoods v Brackens). Or I could knight my squire and make him Ser Hugh Blackwood and he could get killed/injured? He's mainly there to give Roland a tie to House Blackwood beyond his historic service, and as a gun to go off when I choose to trigger his petty thievery for drama! I like the Lord Florent idea, nice way to work things like this in. Ser Byren Flowers? Serves in the Riverlands but from the reach based on his surname. He's "Black Byren" - perhaps there's something cool we can learn about him/he has unfinished business in the Reach or old foes? Why would such a talented knight need to leave the Reach... Tommard Heddle/Black Tom? Again, a different region but some history in game and a decent narrator tool. Any of the Freys making the long journey? Maybe a Blackwood or two as we've got a Bracken here, in case some want to continue the unpleasantness from the Riverlands? Or they could have deliberately not participated given Otho's presence? Ser Vardis of Kingsbridge should surely be in Favourites category? Outsiders at worst. Clearly some sort of oversight.

I think this would be a good time for Dennis Hightower to make his triumphant return. Otherwise I second Roland's sentiment of some Riverlanders coming to Oldtown to hunt for glory or settle old grudges. This is also a good chance for you to introduce any new NPCs that you've been itching to unveil or flesh out visitors from other regions like the Stormlands, Dorne, or the Westerlands or whatnot.

Maybe I missed a retcon but didn't you cut Dennis' arm off? (I ask only in relation to jousters) As to NPCs maybe a little more depth on Hightowers and their bannermen, notables of Oldtown, NPCs with some involvement already (The Florent heir and Farman Flowers beyond seducing e.g.). Some have been given the special status already but maybe a bit more info.

He definitely lost an arm, but according to the latest rumor thread he's training furiously to return to the jousting lists.

The lack of prior screentime for Byren Flowers works against him, and the NPC cast is pretty large already, there's some C-listers like Loren Lannister and Lyonel Costayne that has more potential given prior appearances, Black Tom has been up to no good previously, so might be a stronger case for a return. Otho is there because a certain someone picked him as Nemesis....

I am going to need 9 NPC's from the Stormlands and 7 from the Westerlands, names will do, short "cast of thousand" descriptions are better. One of each place will be considered among the premier jousters of the region, thew rest would be highly capable. Odds are that they're one-offs (and largely background extras) for the tourneys, but who knows?

Just doing 6 Stormlands and 4 Westerlands for now to give space to others. I used some random tables from The One Ring to give me some prompts for creativity. I include these below in case someone else wants to take the same words in a different direction. Can naturally all shift house to suit plans better. NPC generation: 10#1d12 1 10 6 11 4 4 6 5 3 10 10#3d6...WesterlandsSer Ethon Marbrand Aid, Ancient, Battle. An old knight from a proud, ancient house, Ser Ethon lives up to his House's history. While he fought in many battles against the Dornish, his distance from them means he does not hate them as a Reachman or Stormlander might. (3 Endurance or a Flaw in it, but Lances 3 and Talented: Animal Handling). Ser Davos Banefort Uphold, Wretched, Wealth. A honourable knight is a deeply unhappy political marriage, it is perhaps little surprise that Ser Davos spend so much time on the tourney circuit. Ser Nicklas Westerling Learn, Lofty, Might. Unusually for a knight, Ser Nicklas forged several links at the Citadel. Men call him arrogant, but he has the skills to back it up and is unusually strong (3B Strength) and favours powerful weapons should a duel need to be resolved on foot. Ser Auster Tarbeck Weaken, Treacherous, Fear. An alleged cheat, he has a fearsome reputation (Sinister) that unnerves his foes even when he isn't cheating. The Tarbecks are believed by many to be playing both sides of the brewing conflict [dropping a bit of canon that may come to pass in here] Stormlands
Ser Eddard Swann Gather, Far-reaching, Kindred. A true knight, Ser Eddard is chiefly famous for winning a duel to the death despite using a tourney lance when his opponent used a war-lance. He is a collector of horseflesh, and often apologises for retaining particularly fine steeds rather than ransoming them back. He is married to a Frey, and has a prolific family. Against honourable foes, he would be glad to accept sending a spare son off as a page or squire rather than accept a ransom. Ser Bryan Penrose Guard, Ghastly, Knowledge. The youngest son of noted Targaryen loyalists House Penrose has frequently served as a bodyguard for famous lords and ladies, as he is far down his family's requirements for "an heir and a spare". In their cups, other knights claim Ser Bryan is privy to many unsettling secrets due to the positions he has held. [Digging in to canon again here, as the Penrose sons all die bar the youngest when fighting Ser Quentyn Ball, but he spares the youngest. They're noted loyalists] Ser Beric Morrigen Lose, Menacing, Path. Ser Beric loved a peasant maid that Lord Eldon Merryweather allegedly violated, and who threw herself from one of the cliffs in House Morrigen's mountainous terrain. He has irked his family by abandoning his position as his elder brother's master of arms to seek out a path of vengeance, using the tourney circuit as an excuse to travel widely and seek out new information. His skills ensure his efforts are well funded. Ser Triston Selmy Journey, Ill-fated, Luck. (interesting selection of words here!) Ser Triston is a man that attracts trouble, but is skilled enough that Lord Connington still appointed him master of arms. The wits of the Stormlands debate whether he is unlucky for finding himself near so many fires, stampedes and avalanches, or if it is fortunate that such an able knight was there to rescue others. His ill-fate extends to his marriage prospects, as is is hopelessly in love with Lady Ysolde Connington, his lord's betrothed. He recently completed a great pilgrimage to sites sacred to the Faith, and men claim he wore Ysolde's favour on his errantry. "It is just like something from the songs!" [Getting a bid Arthurian here, but couldn't resist when these traits and that name came up] (Lucky benefit) Ser Richard Toyne Demand, Desolate, Fire. (Fire! Interpreting this literally) Ser Richard's future looks bleak, given the dissolution of his House following Ser Terrence Toyne's disgrace. Now he travels the tourney circuit, urging rebellion as he sees any civil war as a chance to achieve high station. While normally a tourney winner, he had a recent run of poor draws (some fixed by loyalist hosts) and gambling losses. He will not be able to afford the ransom for his fine equipment unless he goes far in the tourney. [Some canon here, as House Toyne largely collapsed after Ser Terrence Toyne of the Kingsguard was found in bed with Aegon the Unworthy's mistress, Bethany Bracken] Ser Jon Dondarrion Withstand, Vigorous, Weapon. A great ox of a man, Ser Jon is recently returned from serving with the second sons in Essos, where he appears to have won himself possession of the Valyrian Longsword Truth. A skilled jouster, against tourney knights he often attempts to keep his seat and then trash them when the matter comes to swords (Ride 3b, Lances 1b, Endurance 5, Valyrian Steel Sword).

I've got one for the Westerlands who was a backup character (but I do LOVE how Roland came up with his character traits, you'll have to share these tables with me sometime)
Ser Tylan Lannister-The Black Lion The brother of Lord Damon Lannister has a reputation as a dangerous, but charming rogue. Quick to violence, but also forgiveness he makes friends and enemies in equal measure wherever he goes. His black hair has given rise to the rumor that he's no true Lannister, but a bastard, however his late lord father harshly punished any whom dared to question Ser Tylan's parentage. Allegedly he's in the pocket of either Bloodraven and/or Bittersteel (depending on your partisan leanings) who appear to have some blackmail on him. (Sinister and Attractive)

Tybolt already looks like he has lots of story potential! The Black Lion is a very cool nickname, and I like that his allegiance is uncertain, maybe we'll learn it in play! Plus I like that we've got an alleged bastard, rather than one outside the house or who was legitimised. The tables I used come from The One Ring Second Edition's "Strider" mode: it has various tables for generating things if you want to play solo/co-op without a narrator. But they're also really useful just as idea prompts, and the words and categories (Aspect, Action, Focus) are a good fit for A Song of Ice and Fire too. The pdf/hard copy isn't on sale yet (just went out to Kickstarter backers recently) but hopefully will be soon. And I think lots of solo RPGs have similar tables, I'm just not that familiar with these products. I'll link it when it becomes available for sale, or any similar tools I come across that fit ASOIAF well. Separately, The One Ring 2e is really good, plus I'm deliberately playing an Elf with high Wits in that game to give some much needed contrast to young Roland. Someone much older and wiser, albeit that describes much of Westeros too.

Here's another one for the Stormlands: Ser Yorick Sand-The Sandstorm The bastard of Ser Aerion Baratheon and Lady Ynys Yronwood sired during the Conquest of Dorne (though not acknowledged by Ser Aerion), Ser Yorick has taken up service as the Master of Arms for House Selmy. Some speculate that he's in attendance to earn gold and glory enough to elevate himself beyond his bastard name, others point to the stag skull that serves as his personal device (yellow stag skull on sable) that he's more interest in revenge against House Baratheon.

For the Westerlands The Broken Spear Knight A mystery knight who has made its way around the Stormlands and the Reach circuit, but who has yet to be unmasked. The knight's continued anonymity has led to speculation that he's actually a squire or a woman, while their vicious behavior towards Dornish knights (often goes Brutal against Dornish opponent) has earned them praise and condemnation in equal measure. (I figured this could be a fun one for the narrator, could be the wife/daughter/sister/son of a knight or lord killed by the Dornish in the Conquest, an Oakheart knight, or even someone we know like Ser Marq Warren)

So that should be Roland's first 6 Stormlanders added to the roster, some were made more boring, some were tweaked, others perhaps made more interesting.
So need 2 Stormlanders and 1 Westerlander if I can use all the remaining names.

Westerlands- Ser Victor Kenning- Younger brother of Lord Kenning of Kayce. While civilized by the Seven for centuries now, every few generations a Kenning is born with more iron in their veins than gold or silver. Ser Victor has often been considered such outside of his earshot. Violent & Brutish with only minimal restraint in his actions, many avoid his company until bloodshed beckons.

Stormlands- Ser Byron Buckler- a young knight perhaps thought overmatched in this tourney's company but determined to make both make a name for himself and to make his father and kingsguard uncle(uncle/cousin?) proud. Vainglorious & Courageous if perhaps foolish.
