As the masquerade draws near it's end, and everyone probably have had rather too much wine, there is the sound of trumpets, a rather jarring note not easy on the ears, though skillfully done. It is not merely the product of an inept player, but one quite talented throwing it on purpose. A masked herald announces the arrival of the knight of pigs, bowing deeply only to be run down and brushed aside by an enormous hog at least six feet long, white with large black spots. Astride it sits a dwarf clad in a hauberk, with a breastplate fashioned in the likeness of a broad shouldered torso with bulging and well-defined muscle and equally well defined nipples, the inlaid colors form a motley pattern that matches that on the hauberk, the visor of the helmet is a bejeweled mask and from the helm itself, five spikes have been fashioned with a small bell attached to each. In his hand, Butterbumps the dwarf, for there is no doubt as to the identity of this late arrival, holds a thick lance which on closer inspection has been carved in the likeness of the manly parts. With a self-indulgent smirk upon his lips, he makes thrusting motions with it against a couple of the ladies closest to him before making an attempt to lift the skirts of the third one, to her relief and to many's disappointments, he only manages to expose the ankle before she jumps away. As he slides off the pig, two strong men quickly rushes to his side to catapult him up in the air just as his feet lands in their hands, he lands upon the table with a thud, standing himself up and leaning backwards so that his absurdly large codpiece can be prominently displayed, nodding his head arrogantly and looking about the crowd as he strokes it as if to see if any have the courage to show him something bigger.
Only characters having completed The Grand Masquerade Ball event and successfully gained entry may partake.
Butterbumps is known for three things; outrageous claims, stinging insults and somehow having survived the reign of Aegon IV. His dirty little secret being that everyone tells him all sorts of things for him to reveal, dishonorable enough to re-tell anything that amuses him, honorable enough never to reveal the identity of the snitch and clever enough to not insult someone that would have his head removed for it. Throughout the past two days, and in particular this evening, he has been furiously collecting gems and tasty treats to reveal in one grand performance.
Challenge:
Pick any target for shaming (though Daemon Blackfyre or any Targaryen or Tyrell will be an automatic failure.)
Optional, each DoS on these tests grants +1 to the final test
Awareness (Emapthy) TN 9 - to read what sort of insult the crowd would be receptive to.
Cunning (Logic) TN 9 - to put together a compelling argument given the general talk so far.
Will (Courage) or Deception (Act) TN 9 - Butterbumps like audacity.
Simple Intrigue (Taunt) where the TN is 2*Status+Reputation+chivalry/virtue of your target. Success means Butterbumps shames that person. Though one should not expect the narrator to have the capacity to write much in the way of quotes for him.
Critical failure on any test makes Butterbumps insult you instead (though he may not know your identity).
Among those targeting a known vocal supporter of Fire/Blood:
Highest total on the simple intrigue (and succeeding) grants +1 Fire/Blood score to the opposing side as the person shamed.
Highest TN succeeded against grants +1 Fire/Blood score to the opposing side as the person shamed.
In the case of ties, both Fire and Blood gains a point if applicable, credit for it will be shared if tied among the same side.
