"My Lady Lysette, we are absolutely delighted to have you with us, if I know your lord father as well as I think, I am quite certain he has recounted everything interesting about my time at Kingsbridge and a great deal more. That was before my lady was born, of course, but I do remember it fondly." Lord Leo seems quite happy to receive her.

Lysette laughs at Lord Leo's words and admits, "Then you know him well indeed. But I've always wondered what you might remember that he might gloss over. In the best of spirits of course. I can't imagine a knight with a career as long as my father's has managed to escape every tourney without a spill into the mud after all."

"In my youth, he and the stormbreaker dominated the great tourneys, as a squire I saw him unhorsed only two times, both at the lance of Ser Aerion, though he would win more often than not. The field has tightened as of late, I dare say I learnt everything I possibly could from him at the list, then came Redtusk, The Red Lion, Breakspear and Blackfyre himself. Lord Starling is no longer the best of us, but of embarrassing defeats I can remember none, although Lord Durwell at four and ten came close to stun the crowds riding a mare in heat, they both fell off and had to settle the matter with swords, Lord Marq was very skilled for his age, but he was still just a boy facing a grown warrior, I do not think your father would win such a duel today."

Lysette covered her mouth a little and shook her head. "Still, a clever idea. Even if, like so many clever ideas, it didn't go the way he'd hoped."
She glanced around the great hall fondly.
"It's been too long since I was here. Have you made any new additions of note to your library of late?"
The lady couldn't quite conceal the eagerness underlying that question, nor the bright light in her eyes at the thought.

"Best ask the librarian, my lady, I think I could live for a thousand years and still not run out of interesting things to read in the present collection." nobody had ever accused Lord Leo of being an avid reader. "Given how much he complains about the lack of interest by the many nobles, he's like to forget all about manners and courtesies when faced with a lady that shares his enthusiasm."

Lysette nodded, remembering the man at least somewhat, from earlier visits. There was perhaps just one last topic of conversation, though it knotted her stomach a little.
"My Lord, my Lady...I would not trouble you with small concerns, but I wonder it I might ask...well." She cleared her throat. "There is a possibility that the question of my marriage may be, if not settled, then at least advanced at this event. Is there any advice you might spare for someone in my position?"
Her cheeks flushed at the question...it felt a little presumptuous, and it felt a little childish, even in her own ears. But she believed the Tyrells had some goodwill for her House and father, and surely as liege lords they'd seen situations like this before. Book accounts were one thing, but practical experience was what she needed more than ever now. Not only to ensure she had a choice, but to make the right one. If that meant surrendering a bit of pride, well...it was a burn she'd accept.

"Before my lord husband starts listing up the five best jousters in all of Westeros, allow me to offer more actionable advice, my lady." Rhonda shoots in swiftly, her husband making a face suggesting that was exactly what he was about to do. "We could inquire if the Lady Margaery might be willing to see my lady, she excused herself from taking part here on account of it's lengthiness, though I have a feeling she would very much enjoy your company. And very few can match her wisdom and experience."

Lysette gave the Lady Rhonda a quick grateful look, then a deep curtsy.
"I would be most humbly in your debt if you could introduce me to the Lady," she said. Then with a wry smile she added, "Though if my Lord Tyrell finds time to finish that list at some point, it might still be useful as well. Should you hear from Lady Margaery and I am not here, I will certainly have found my way to the Library before I'm too tired to walk."

Lord Tyrell needs no further encouragement. "My lady could hardly find a better knight than Ser Roland Redwyne, or perhaps we could make a Reachman out of Ser Robb Reyne? Imagine my lady, the children of one of the finest knights of the current generations and the daughter of one of the finest knights of the previous, their sons would dominate in every tourney." He vaxes dreamily. "There is also Ser Darren Crane, Ser Simon Tarly and Ser Roland Cordwayner of Kingsbridge own companions, it puzzles me why he would not serve as his brother's champion, truth be told I would eagerly poach him to mine own service given half a chance."
"My dear grandmother has most likely decided to sleep by now, though we could inquire in the morning."

"Of course," Lysette agreed with a nod. She smiled at Leo and added, "Those are fine men. I'll keep your recommendations in mind as I consider."
"My thanks to both of you. But look at me, taking all your time for myself. Allow me to sample some of your exemplary hospitality. I'll look forward to seeing you again on the morrow."
She retreats a step from where they sit, curtsies, and moves off into the crowd, deftly weaving between servants and mingling nobles.
(Assuming they have nothing more to add, /scene?)
