, Aegor Rivers, by most spoken of as Bittersteel, did not seem to be in a good mood, but nobody had ever seen him without his customary scowl, this is as good a mood he is likely to be in, his rage and fury is said to be without rival. "Ser Addam." his greeting is brusque, not one to waste words.

Addam was taken a back by Aegor's lackluster greeting, but quickly manage to regain his composure. He knew the man was one to rarely smile, but he wasn't expecting him to be this grim. "Ser Aegor, It is an honor to finally meet a knight of your capabilities. I spent many tourneys watching and routing for you and your half-brother, Ser Daemon, as a squire. The skill you two possessed was beyond the stories that I had heard as a child. It was the reason I trained as hard I did." Addam caught himself before he started to ramble to much. flattery could make him friends, but to much could turn them away. "That and Lord William's stern guidance got me to where I am today", he added quickly with a slight grin.
OOC: Addam will engage Ser Aegor in intrigue. Objective: Friendship Deposition: Amiable Initiative: Intrigue Initiative (Half Dragon and All Bastard): 4d6 17

The mention of Willem makes him light up a little bit, but just a little bit. "Ser Daemon is the true warrior reborn, ser, I am just better than most." Bittersteel may not be the most likable character, but at least he is honest, to himself, about himself and to others. There is never any doubt in what he wants. "I know of no better man to emulate than he who presently wields the sword of kings, though Lord Starling is a very good role model indeed."Intrigue Iniative: 8d6k5 25Bittersteel: Objective: Secure Addam for the Blackfyre cause, triggers +1D to Persuasion from Great Bastard benefit. Intrigue Defense: 15 Composure: 12 First action (Bittersteel foregoes a free start of intrigue action because I'm lazy): Convince: 7d6k5 21 deals 4 composure per DoS.

What was once a man who seem to show little interest in Addam had now showed a slight more curiosity. The shift in attitude threw Addam off, and was something he was not expecting. "You are most generous in your praise Ser, but you do speak true. I know that I will continue the legacy of superb knights that Lord William had manage to create." Changing to the topic to the man Addam was more interested in. "Will Ser Daemon be attending the tournament? I would certainly enjoy seeing him unhorse Prince Baelor and show the world that their last match was just a fluke." Talking a point of frustration Free Action: Status(Breeding) (Half Bastard & All Dragon): 5d6k4 18 1 DoS +1b added to pull Charm (Half Dragon and All): 5d6k2+1 11 (Should be keeping three)Reroll Charm (Attractive): 2d6 8New Total 19 2 DoS (Attractive increases starting disposition by 2) 3 influence per DoS Intrigue Defense: 12 (now 10) Composure: 9/11

"He will partake indeed, ser, and for certain we can hope that all the realms will plainly see who is the best man." There is no doubt in his mind as to whom that would be. "Such a shame with all those who does not see it already, and far too many seem to never will. Even among the ranks of House Starling I hear." Bittersteel: Objective: Secure Addam for the Blackfyre cause, triggers +1D to Persuasion from Great Bastard benefit. Intrigue Defense: 15 Composure: 12 Convince: 8d6k5+3 Narrator messing up: 1d8 28Again 4 per DoS. You probably should review the chivalry and intrigue sections (as new house-rules interact with a few things in play here, frustration chiefly and bonuses from chivalry), as it looks to me as if something's off with your calculations, I missed a few of those bonuses myself (old habits), but since my mistakes benefits you, I'm letting them stand. I recommend asking in game discussion if anything is unclear.

Is your disposition indifferent? In which case you'd have DR 4, so 4 composure would go through? That doesn't quite fit with your composure and frustration taking so far?

(disposition is amiable. So 8 influence was taken minus 3 from both disposition and frustration, leaving a total of two damage.)
Addam merely shakes his head in confusion. "I'm afraid your sources are wrong. I have heard noting, but praise for Ser Daemon from both House Starling and the Companions."
With four degrees of success from Aegor last roll, Addam is defeated.

"I believe you, ser." The words are hard. "Ser Daemon inspires many, just like Lord Starling, Lord Tyrell, Ser Roland Redwyne and Ser Robb Reyne" Aside from Lord Willem, all of those have known sympathies. "But many admire the man and yet finds themselves too timid to protest the injustice of denying him his right, to speak nothing of those who actively supports he who sits on the Iron Throne and his submission to Sunspear."

"The Dornish are nothing more than dogs. They murder lords in their beds and kings under the false flags of peace. A king who associates with ilk of that kind is no king." Adam paused for a brief moment to collect his thoughts. It all made sense now. Aegon had intended to for Daemon to be king. He gave his son the sword so that he might protect from those that would harm us, but his indulgences put an end to that dream before it came to be. This realization imbued Addam with renewed vigor "I am sure that most people are truly troubled with what Daeron has done to the realm. They simply live in fear of being thrown to the snakes should they speak out. I am certain that men, both common and noble, would flock to his grace should he seek to turn back this tide of tyranny."

[It should be very clear that he is alluding to the opinion that Daemon Blackfyre is the rightful king.]

"Quite true ser." Bittersteel appears pleased to have found another convert, though happy seems to be an emotion he lacked the capacity for. "But contrary to what a septon might say, the number of swords brought in support of a cause tends to be decisive, and if we think that we will have the majority just by taking a stand for that which is righteous we will find that the enemy has worked so diligently in spreading it's poison that we will find ourselves mistaken."
"No, those who wants justice done must be vigilant and hardworking to make it so."

Addam's chest swelled as he found the courage to commit himself to the cause. "Tell his grace that if he is ever in need, than he may call upon me to serve in any capacity that is need." and with a deep courteous bow. "Unless there is anything else you need Ser, I will leave you be. I fear that I have taken up too much of your time."
[End scene? Unless Bottersteel want to ask Addam to do anything]
