The Citadel
-Upriver from The Starry Sept lies the complex of buildings in the river itself connected by stone bridges, these house the libraries, archives, lecture halls, laboratories, scriptoriums and living quarters of the maesters. Funded largely by the gold provided by lords for retaining the services of a maester, and for writing history and other tomes commissioned by various nobles (Targaryens, Lannisters and Hightowers chief among these, leading some cynical maesters to believe that history portrays certain houses more favorably than others). Most people visiting the citadel never go any further than past the Scribe's Hearth, just past the two green sphinxes at the gates to purchase books or hire the services of junior maesters, often to read or write letters, beyond is the Seneschal's court which one passes to see the gatekeeper for an appointment with the Seneschal, most nobles would only venture this far in order to obtain a maester for their household or enroll a son for training as a maester.
The Grand Guildhall of the Mercers.
-Normally, the guildhall serves communal meals for the various merchants of sufficient incomes to pay for guild membership, occasionally it is also used for festivities for the guild. But the guild is not above renting out the space to foreign dignitaries or powerful and wealthy nobles that would like a venue to host their own events, though The Hightower, The Starry Sept and The Citadel may offer larger halls, they are unlikely to be available to use by other hosts.
The Bank of Oldtown
-Established some 50 years ago on the orders of Lady Samantha Tarly, founded by Lotho Rogare after the fall of the Rogare family with Hightower funds, the bank have contributed greatly to the increase of Hightower wealth, with many wondering if perhaps The Hightowers might have more gold than even Casterly Rock. Now the bank is managed by Lysandro Rogare with Ser Eustace providing direction from its owning family.
The Willing Maiden.
-Built in the Lyseni style, this large two story building of stone masonry offers an imposing facade to the outside while hosting a Lyseni pleasure house inside, the girls are all supposedly trained in Lys from an early age, and certainly look the part of Lyseni. Its owner, Master Silvario likes to boast that his establishment is the most expensive establishment of all The Seven Kingdoms, yet offering twice the value. Butterbumps recently commented that half the price was so that the wealthy merchants would not have to mingle with the merely well-off merchants.
Temple Street.
-Oldtown has usually been tolerant of foreign faiths, as long as it is practiced by foreigners and visitors, though it's places of worship are occasionally burned down and it's priests slaughtered, the last such occasion being during the faith militant uprising where the guard had to retreat in face of a horde of poor fellows. The perhaps most prominent is the Red Priests watching over their everburning flame, with an old quip being that they should be hired to keep the beacon atop The Hightower working.
The Stag.
-So recognized by the sign upon its door, this three-story stone building houses a tavern, it is too expensive for most folk, but not so much that nobles and well to do merchants finds the prices too steep, the fare is decent, with the proprietor known to have special supplies for those willing to pay properly, typically after winning big on cards or dice, which is the main draw of the establishment.
