Lord Marq Durwell was one of the few knights that experts would fancy to defeat Ser Roland in a joust. After all, the talented lord had unhorsed Roland in the final of Highgarden's ill-fated tournament. Lord Durwell was well spoken, popular and keenly pursued by political factions, many things Roland was not, despite his own accomplishments. Unbeknownst to Roland, Marq had even slept with his betrothed!
Still, Roland had overcome other champions through bold tactics, and attempted to repeat as much here. Such suited his vainglorious attitude - at least if he were to lose, it would be with a bold effort and in the later stages of a fine tournament!
R1: Heightened stakes, eyes fixed and noble.

Judging by Lord Marq's tactics, it may be that he is not surprised by Roland's approach.
PR: 22 (25) AR: 10(12) Health 12 Marq goes D3+EF: 7d6k4+7 27 6d6k4+1 21 4d6 10So that would be TN 17 to stay in saddle for Roland.

The knights clashed in a great splinter of lances, both keeping their seats despite blows that would have dismounted most knights present.
Appleton QF - HS, EF N P1: 8d6k4+10 33 6d6k4+1 19 6d6k4 19- Blood of the Andals for +2 for 3 DoS, not enough to unhorse. We'll see if it is worth gambling on the extra damage here! - Damage dealt = 4 (AH) +1 (tourney lance) +3 (Horses's strength) +2 (charge) = 10 X 3 = 30 - 12 = 18 Damage - Damage taken = 4+1+3+2= 10x2 = 20-13 = 7, then 4 Damage recovered via Catch your Breath PR: 21 AR: 11->13 Health: 9/12 I/W/F: 0/0/0

I think you used up that +2 in the round before?

I think you used up that +2 in the round before? Sorry, didn’t realise these were all one one day!

Each off-season event largely treated as happening on the same day for balance purposes. Normally it might be something like two jousting matches per day in an active chronicle that also likely will compete with other stuff for such resources, and that mostly due to pacing out the content, most jousts that we see in the books takes a day or two, I think.

The crowd seems to hold their breath ever harder each successive time these two clash with such force, flair and precision that less experienced and skilled men might kill one another. Four rounds too close for anyone to call which is first to make that one single mistake that will cost them the match passes until Roland lands a pinpoint strike to Lord Marq's center mass, for a very, very long moment, it appears as if the man will manage the impossible and regain his balance where only legends could even hope to do so, but despite a valiant effort, Roland is not denied victory this pass.
Let's see (Roland has 3 DoS on r6 CyB, and 0 Joust at R2, 1 on R4,7,9, 2 on R3,5,6,8, stay in saddle <17 R2, 9, and >20 R4, 6) 8 damage on a 2 DoS, so 7 now.....going to have to track EF separately, with 35 not possible, Marq can safely do the EF maneuver whenever his health is 9+ 2-ND3: 7d6k4+5 22 6d6k4+1 12 4d6 23Health (Roland/Marq): 12/11 3-ND3EF: 7d6k4+7 26 6d6k4+1 17 4d6 7Health (Roland/Marq): 9/6 4-N3D: 7d6k4+5 24 6d6k4+1 19 4d6 16Health (Roland/Marq): 12/10 5-ND3EF: 7d6k4+7 22 6d6k4+1 16 4d6 21Marq thrown off, takes 3 injuries.
