Lord Olyvar was about as prickly and unlikeable as they came, but he was also no slouch in the saddle and deeply desired to be taken seriously by his peers so Daeron wasn't about to underestimate the Bloodroyal at the lists. Sitting up higher in the saddle let him be more maneuverable when it came to dodging lances, but made it tougher to stay on his horse if he took a good hit. It also gave him a chance to feel out the impetuous lord's jousting style.

Lord Olyvar's first tilt tells Daeron nothing he does not already know, namely that the Bloodroyal is not far behind him in ability, if at all. He, too, seems to feeling out his opponent for an advantage. Olyvar N: 7d6k4+5 23 6d6k4+1 21 4d6 6PR: 19 AR: 12 Health: 12 I think that should be a -2 to SiS because HiS inflicts -3? Not that it matters vs TN 10

His poor showing from his first tilt was corrected by a much more standout performance the second time around as he connected solidly with Lord Yronwood's shield.
You're correct, I've fixed this time around. PR: 21 (19+2) AR: 13 W/I/F: 1/0/0 Health: 12/12 Tourney Lance Superior Longsword Superior Shield Superior Full Plate Superior Destrier TT-Vs Bloodroyal-HiS, D2; SiS; CYB: 7d6k4+6 29 6d6k4-2 16 4d6 12

Lord Yronwood's lancework is sharp and to the point, but not so his horsemanship, and tourneys are mostly about horsemanship as Daeron's blow pushes him out of balance and out of the competition.

Although he might've had a (well-earned) reputation for being a sore loser, Daeron found it was easier to be gracious in victory than defeat, especially when the defeated was an important potential ally. Leaping down from his saddle, he simply offers his hand to the Lord of Yronwood to assist him getting up without feeling obligated to offer usual empty words of consolation.
