(Guest appearance by Ser Robyn "The Mauler", Estimated Fighting roll with longblades for Ser Robyn based on previous rolls)
The days prior had been less than ideal for Thaddeus. He had fared well against some Westerland knights and Lord Caswell but his lance betrayed him when facing Lord Crane. And while he put on a nonchalant public face, the challenge and later loss to Ser Lewyn left him fuming. He could think of a few ways to vent his anger and frustration but sweating it out on the practice field seemed the most practical in this environment.
He circled his opponent, patiently looking for an opening while he battered the man with conversation all the while. "Ser Robyn, winner brings the wine! No, No that will never work, my palate would like to feel like its won as well. Hmmn, if you win I'll gift a bottle of wine...if I win you join Benfred and I in our next game of dice Ser. Plus you smile at least once during the game. No, No the smile part is non-negotiable Ser."
Ser Robyn was deadly with a hammer yet still dangerous with a sword. Today however it seemed Thaddeus was determined, for both luck and skill seemed to favor him over the more accomplished fighter. Mayhaps his words through off the knight or a bit of bad footing gave him an opening but his blade struck in at an opportune moment and just like that the match was his. Many watching might assume Ser Robyn, as his father's man, let him win but Ser Robyn was not that sort of a man. To Ser Robyn's credit he took losses as well as victories however...as either was typically followed with a grunt and a curse.

As he took a moment to catch his breath, his eyes caught Ser Roland Cordwayner passing by. The knight's eyes were naturally drawn to the sparring action so he shouted across the field. "Ser Roland, would you care to join? It would do Ser Robyn and I honor to match swords with you this day."
