Having fought his way through a gauntlet of men perhaps with the ferocity of a dragon, Daeron was riding high as knight after knight yielded to his blade, but as the field emptied his targets for easy pickings also thinned out. He attempted to steer his horse in the direction of a tough, but winnable fight like Ser Preston or Ser Normyn, but it appeared that they were already paired up with an ally and with Ser Aemon bowing out he wasn't going to attempt to fight two men. Then he thought to go after Redtusk, a challenge for sure, but he looked to be ragged enough that it would be within the realm of possibility, but he too had paired up with Ser Davos. Before he could make any more decisions, it appeared that one had been made for him as Ser Manfryd was *very* suddenly bearing down on him. Gods be good, first Redtusk in the joust and now The Grimm in the melee.. I'm a better knight than I was when I last faced him, but I doubt that Ser Manfryd has neglected his own training.

Indomitable as Ser Manfryd might seem, any man can beaten, it is just that some men are much more difficult to defeat than others. At least Daeron is given the opportunity to strike the first blow. CyB: 7d6k5 20CD: 14 AR: 10 Health: 14/15 Initiative: 6d6k4-2 7

Think I'm easy pickings? I'll make you have to earn your victory today..Enraged at the idea that Ser Manfryd might have challenged him because he was the easiest remaining target, Wildfyre was determined to extract his pound of flesh from his opponent and hopefully catch him off-guard with the intensity of his attack–if he was going to have a shot at winning it would be with a bold opening. With a ferocious roar he brought his sword down against Ser Manfryd's armor in a blow that would have ended the tourney careers of lesser men.

If shaken, Ser Manfryd does not show it, but he is certainly pushed on the back foot and struggles to reply in kind.

It worked well the first time, so Daeron followed up with another furious swipe in the hopes of keeping the momentum on his side. If he could convince Ser Manfryd that this fight wasn't worth it, perhaps he'd bow out earlier than expected in the melee.

Ser Manfryd is not one to fight on to the bitter end to win this duel just to have nothing left to give in the next challenge, had they been the last two standing, he would not give up so easily, but this time, he accepts his loss this time around.
Fighting on with a wound is not something Manfryd is willing to do, so he yields.

Daeron is surprised perhaps as much as the onlookers when the Grimm Reaper yields, but he's thankful for his greathelm hiding his widening grin lest he give Ser Manfryd reason to reconsider yielding–Wildfyre wasn't a knight to be taken on lightly but he wasn't confident that victory was guaranteed if their duel continued. Instead he offers the great warrior a bow and allows him to leave the field with his dignity intact while pondering how he could spin his victory here into the greater Song of Wildfyre, perhaps a few drinks tonight at the local tavern would give him the inspiration that he would need.
In the meantime he took a moment to take a breather, examine the field, and wonder how he might pull off a victory here.
What actions are available to Daeron while he waits for the rest of the fights to finish?

We'll see how many are left once all the other scenes are concluded.
