The Seven had seen to it that a Kingsbridge knight would make the final, although the House's gloryhounds would have preferred the risk of being drawn apart and neither make the final.
Roland saluted the heir to his Lord's seat and kicked his warhorse in to a charge.

Ser Aemon have already progressed further than could be expected, but he still have the skill to hope to get at least one other victory, Roland is better, but this could be the one time his opponent scored the victory. Stranger things have happened at the lists.

Roland rode well against the knight who would would day be Lord Starling, keen to give a good account of himself. P4 Joust v Aemon Flowers (SF): 6#8d6k4+8 30 21 27 24 28 27 6#6d6k4+1 14 22 20 23...PR: 21 AR: 11 Health: 12/12 I/W/F: 0/1/0

Ser Aemon delivers a well placed blow that almost can be compared to that of Ser Roland, though his horsemanship cannot and he falls out of his saddle on the first tilt, but less than half an inch better placement of Ser Aemon's lance and the matter might have been settled with swords. Despite his wound, Roland prevailed. He dipped his lance in salute and steeled himself to yet again meet his namesake in the lists.
[OOC: I think the rogue +2 is from an erroneous Tourney Knight that was also bumping up his Passive ride?]

It would be ill to take coin from a Companion, and he who may one day be your liege lord.
[OOC: updating my character records, marking no ransom here as a fellow Starling.]
