Giving a confident salute to Lady Ellyn, Daeron's heart sank as he turned to face Redtusk. The man was easily the best jouster present and one of the best ones in the kingdom as a whole while Daeron.. was not. Playing it safe wouldn't be likely to work, but taking a risk was also unlikely to work. All he could do was go out in a way that would make him remembered. Daeron's lance breaks, barely. Whereas Redtusk lands a strong blow, had Daeron ridden a little more cautiously, he would likely keep his seat, but that was not how he had earned his moniker. Redtusk N: 7d6k4+8 25 7d6k4+2 16 6d6k4 19PR: 22

Daeron sucks his teeth as he hits the ground unceremoniously. For all his experience with falling from a saddle, it still hurt like a son of a bitch.
Well it's better to lose to the best in the field rather than the worst.
"Well struck Ser, but now that you've beaten me you cannot lose any matches today. I'd hate to be beaten by a runner-up," he jokes to Redtusk knowing that the knight would take his jest in good humor.
