By Ysilla's reckoning, whichever foul weasels assaulted the Blackbars must have moved south, though just how far is tricky to say, Ashford? To where Gwayne is lord now? Probably had horses. How else would they not be caught by Lord Caswell's hunters? Lord Marq has a great many interests, but does he pay friendly visits or does he have an agenda beyond what he seeks? Around Lord Eldon, even he dares not dig too deep, trying instead to flatter the man into giving up his secrets, but the abomination is mum on the details of how the Hastwyck's demise, though confirming that it happened because he wanted it to, hardly anything that could be used by Marq. Through others of course. Lord Peake's skeletons are buried deep as well, he finds about some, but not those he truly had hoped to discover. Farman's secrets are jealously guarded, nothing to be learned is particularly actionable, but what little he learns does not at all dampen his curiosity. The agents sent to Hammerhaal has interesting things to say, enough perhaps, that he might offer it as a distraction to make the calls for him to ask his man to involve himself. While a great many things would be of interest to Lady Alicent, actually travelling to these places to investigate she simply is not at liberty to do, she must thus content herself to such news as arrives to the halls of Highgarden. Lord Gormon would indeed like leverage over Lord Eldon, and sends an agent quite familiar to some to sniff around the burnt down inn, on a hunch, that agent proceeds to Longtable to investigate a theory, but finds the secrets of the place too well guarded to confirm such suspicions. Lord Middlebury has one great interest, and that is keeping the Dornish out of the Reach, first no more of them must be allowed in, then those already inside must be purged. He would love to exterminate them all, but like the rats they so resemble, they breed faster than they can be killed. Allyria had set Laena on the task of finding out who might have tried to kill her son, collateral damage or no, she cared not, she herself focuses on who might have killed her brother. If she got her hands on them, preferably both of them, they would be taken to a place not far from Starfall where they might be spreadeagled, and covered in honey to lead the ants to their meal, her lord brother would disapprove, but men would never understand a mother's capacity for rage. How else would they not be caught by Lord Caswell's hunters? Heading south means crossing the Mander. If they mixed with the crowds at the bridges at Longtable or Cider Hall, they're probably long-forgotten by now. But if they used one of the lesser-used ferries between those two stops? Then, maybe they'd be remembered. And the ferryman could point them in the direction they went, which would hopefully give them more of an idea as to which lord's land they passed through next. Secret - Ferrys - Knowledge (Streetwise): 6d6k4 24 Well, at least my habit of rolling high is continuing when I want it to. *Damn*, that's an incredible roll.

If someone checks both prejudice and vindictive, they'd automatically go first I guess, otherwise go after whatever targets as feels natural that checks one of them, I'd say.

Secret - Ferrys - Knowledge (Streetwise): 6d6k4 24 Nicely done, but not nicely enough. Armed with what she'd learned, Laena briefly considers dropping the matter. There was a question as to whether the return would be worth the cost. But it was only briefly. It wasn't in her to have to admit failure against a mere gang of blackguards when there was a path open to her. A challenge to her abilities. One she would overcome, proving her superiority. So it was that she travelled to the courts of Lord Randyll Ashford and Lord Jaime Fossoway, teary-eyed, talking of the horrors committed against fellow noblewomen, and how she and all her peers were depending on their chivalrous hearts to do one little favour for her, to help ensure that they are brought to justice. Both for the sake of the dead ladies, and those still living.

Laena sat in her tent, fingers tapping her half-empty glass of wine. She'd followed the killers' trail as far as she could, but there were now too many options to narrow it down beyond a general area. Which, interestingly enough, included the Laughing Stream, implying they were likely the same lot as murdered Lord Desmond. She had options for her next step. She could investigate the lands of the primary suspects individually, see what she could find, but that was a lot of work. Or, now she knows how they move, she could simply wait to hear word of a group moving from that area in that way, but that could take who knows how long. Far too boring. No, dragons were not patient hunters. She needed to lure the killers out. Fortunately, she knew just the right kind of bait. And, with some consideration, the specific bait to use came to mind. Lord Eddard Footly married a Dornish lady, has a half-Dornish daughter and heir, and an Andal brother waiting in the wings should tragedy befall the main house line. Even better, Tumbleton was directly beyond Cider Hall from the 'suspect zone', so she knew precisely where to keep an eye on for their movements. Ideally, they'd be arrogant enough to use some of the same hideouts she'd already uncovered for the trip, making them even easier to find. The first thing to do was to discreetly spread an anonymous rumour that the relationship between Lord Eddard and his brother, Ser Selmond, was becoming rather strained. No details about why, but people would hopefully fill in the blanks with the most obvious answer - they leaned different ways politically. And with the Lord married to a Dornishwoman, his loyalties were fairly inferable. Secret - Footly Rumour - Deception (Disguise) - TN13: 6d6k4 18 Nice Secret - Footly Rumour - Persuasion (Convince): 5d6k4+1 10 Not nice. Still, better that way round than the alternative. Secondly, she discreetly spread word in the suspect area that someone approved of the 'Blackbar solution' and wished for a repeat performance with a new audience. Implying coin she didn't have to lure the killers into the arms of soldiers she didn't command. But that was a problem for later. For now, she was just hoping to get them to poke their heads up enough that she could find them. Though one hook or the other. Edit: Streetwise roll requested. Secret - Killers Wanted - Persuasion (Bargain): 5d6k4+1 22 Of course you fucking well did. Might as well strip myself naked and yell into a megaphone "Hey! Killers! I'm hunting you! All by my lonesome!" Damnit, the Footlys were supposed to be the bait, not me! Now, all she had to do was wait...

Two fishes bites on Laena's hook, one seems to be just your regular sort of sellswords, nobody quite as organized as to have performed the attacks already done, the other group seems much more like something that could be her quarry. Mystery men 1, 2 and 3: 3#3d6 11 10 8
