Easy enough to get, but there's a risk: Milk of the Poppy vs Daeron: 4d6 14Less than passive endurance (resilience), so no penalty. Commands Archers attack FR, Militia 1/2 to attack FR: 8d6k4 19 2#6d6k3 11 14+2, +0, +1 Archers, M1/2, aim+attack: 7d6k4+2 24 6d6k3 18 6d6k3+1 15So 4*5-4=16 to FR, then 2*3-4=6, twice. For 20 damage total. Resolved against Daeron: saved by the cautious. FR's do 7 damage. Melee vs Daeron: 20#8d6k6 29 22 31 29 25 25 23 25 25 26 25...1x30 or higher: 1 damage to Daeron. Status: Blackwood Militia 1: -13/10, routed. Bracken Militia 1: 5/10, +1 TN to further orders. Freeriders: -15/10, Routed, +1 TN to further orders.

Seeing that their time was at hand, Ser Normyn orders his militia forward in their shieldwall formation to cycle out the fatigued and injured freeriders, staying only slightly back with his own unit. Off in the wings, Militia 2 continues to hammer away at the creaking walls with their ram while Militia 1 prepares itself for another attempt into the breach. Finally, the Freeriders though they managed to not flee, stand disorganized and confused. The approach of reinforcements is heartening to half, while the other half are dismayed that they cannot escape now. Mudgrave-Normyn Commands-Freeriders; Militia 1-4: 5#5d6k4 17 10 15 18 20Militia 1: Mudgrave-Militia CYB: 4d6k3 13 (Heals 3 damage, now 8/10) Militia 2: Mudgrave-Break Palisade Wall-TN 13: 5d6k4+1 16 (1 DOS, Palisade is now TN 8) Militia 4 moves up to meet Blackwood Militia 2 at the gate while Militia 3 (with Normyn still attached) remains behind 20 yards. Mudgrave-Reform I TN 9: 4d6k3 15Mudgrave-Reform II: 4d6k2 8 (Still disorganized, up to -15/10)
*Would Daeron have to route Blackwood Militia 2 before he could make it up the gatehouse to attack the archer militia?* *Changing his actions regardless.* Wildfyre lept from man to man as he slashed wildly at the remnants of what was once an enemy formation. He would not tolerate an enemy who might flee before him, only to reform and regroup later. He needed his victory and dominance to be absolute. Mudgrave-Red Blooded V-TN 16: 6d6k4 12 Looks like he won't be going Cautious, and for fun, lets have him be a bit of a dick about it and make all of his attacks against Militia 1 as they're routing. Mudgrave-Aim+Attack x9 vs Militia 1: 9#9d6k5 25 23 22 29 28 19 27 22 26 (9 damage to Militia 1) Mudgrave-CYB: 6d6k4-2 17 (Heals 4 damage) CD: 12 AR: 11 Health: 12/12 W/I/F: 1/2/0

Being up on the wall, getting to them isn't much of an option I think.

No stairs up to the gatehouse near the gate?

Well, yes, would require strength checks to push through defenders as per getting cover from the archers among their ranks, something like five should suffice, then 4 yards up a ladder (standard climbing rules), and someone will attempt to kick you down (resolved as knockdown) at the top.

Normyn, experienced commander he was, ordered his lead unit to attack before cycling out while his own unit moved into their place to attack the fresher of the enemies. A simple enough of a maneuver, but one that takes advantage of his superior numbers. Meanwhile, off in the wings Militia 1 was finally ready to cycle back to the front, while Militia 2 broke through the palisade wall, creating an opening for a flanking attack. Amidst it all, Wildfyre keeping his wits about him saw that his allies had finally broken the choke point, decided that now was the time for some daring heroics. Forcing his way out of the mass of bodies he, takes only a brief moment to catch his breath before making it halfway up the ladder to where archers were laying waste to his allies. Does it matter that Daeron is out of reach for spears for at least one of those rounds of attack (Reach 3, he's 4 yards up above them?) Also, can he attach himself to a unit that's already got a hero attached to it?

4 yards from the ground, yes, but they are standing upright and have spears to poke you in the ass with.
Can attach to that unit, though realistically, there's an enemy unit between you and them now.
Hint: Annihilate the destroyed unit to make it stop.
