Aerion often attended the Sept in the early hours of the morning, when the quiet of the night still hung in the air. The sun still hiding along the horizon meant the morning mist remained. It was there on that brisk morning that Aerion was not alone during his visit to the Sept. Seeing the Septon going about his duties, Aerion waited patiently for him to finish before speaking softly to the man. Everyone seemed to view him as a crazed and dangerous person, but Aerion merely seen a devout follower of the faith. Perhaps quick to anger, but wo among them could say they were without sin; he himself let pride blind him on more than one occasion.
"Septon Abelar, good morning. May the Father bring light to your life, and the Crone grant you wisdom enough to enjoy it!" Aerion was truly a pious man, and he sincerely wished these blessings on his company. "I do not see you here very often in the mornings when I come to pray. What brings you here so early today?"

Septon Abelar lays aside the broomstick, walking over to greet Ser Aerion. "Septon Moon was known to say that no good could come after the hour of the wolf. I'm inclined to agree, so I find myself early a-bed and early for rising."
Though they had little occasion meet before, Abelar has not failed to take notice of Aerion's victories over the likes of Ser Robb Reyne and Blackfyre himself. A puissant knight . . . and only half Starkwood.

The young knight nods in response, then pauses as if forming the words properly in his mind.
"I have heard that you support bringing back the Faith Militant, Septon. Would you be willing to share with me your reasons? Many people are frightened by the idea, as they had admittedly caused much strife. Do you truly believe that now is the time for their return?"

Abelar is pleasantly surprised that Ser Aerion has broached the topic. Usually, it falls to the septon to wedge the issue into conversation. "Indeed, ser. I believe the disbandment of the Faith Militant was a mistake that should be undone sooner rather than later. The Andals achieved greatness when they marched under the banners of heaven, with seven-pointed stars carved into their chests. Since that time, the Faith has always stood against moral rot and decay, but King Maegor dealt it a fearsome blow when he outlawed the Faith Militant." The Septon shakes his head. "I sometimes wonder if the wardens of hell itself are dragons, for only through the power of dragons were the Faith Militant and their supporters brought to heel."
"As for strife, only the wicked have cause for fear. Men like Lord Merryweather. As besides, I have reason to think that the strife is coming one way or another--the only question is whether any swords will be drawn to defend the meek and innocent, instead of just to play the game of thrones."

"The thought of dragons being the devil is something I will have to leave for the maesters to dream of. I am a Dragon, and I serf the Light." he says. The light from a nearby candle is dancing crystal clear in his eyes.
"How would the curch go about raising them again? There are many unjust men in positions of power who would fight the movement."
"Who would you count among your supporters?"
