*Looks like you’re correct on this, I just lost track of my penalties too quickly, so 14 damage to Rennifer.*

The Crowds cheer as the last of the Merryweather knights quits without so much as a grunt. But with a cautious eye towards such of his foes who has other ideas than to let him ride off. Lord Eldon quietly grumbles over the part where no companion was killed, but their noses was well and truly bloodied.
Rennifer yields, and will take fatigue to ignore AP should someone try to get any ideas. CyB: Jaime, Vardis.: 4d6k3 11 4d6 12Jaime 11/11 Vardis 12/12. Selmond 12/12 Samwell 9/9, 1 fatigue Ulf 9/9, 1 fatigue Rennifer CD 22 (16) AR 10 Health 2/12, 2 injury, 2 fatigue, 3 Wounds Presently no more Blackguards (unless Daeron choses to become one) on the field, so Roland's scene 0 bonuses won't be applying for the next scene, and he cannot offer assists (no more Merryweathers makes the same applies for Daeron). Presently 7 companions+friends (6 if Daeron bows out), probably prudent to split up into Roland+Jaime+Vardis and Daeron+Selmond/Samwell/Ulf going forward.

Despite the din and chaos of the melee Roland was able to survey the field clearly, aided by being able to focus his attention on command rather than needing to catch his breath. Melee Reckoning Warfare x2 TN 9 forego CyB +1D: 2#4d6 15 9- 3 DoS total [OOC: happy to defer to Daeron on team division, narrator's suggestion looks reasonable to me.]

Temptation filled his head. All it would take was one more blow and the blackguard would be nothing more than a foul memory... but in performing such a disgraceful act, Daeron would be little better than a cowardly blackguard himself.
On the other hand, he could strike a terrible blow to Lord Eldon and by exterminating his champion make him less capable of escaping justice and avenge Rennifer’s sins. Why put his honor above the lives of others?
Perhaps another day his conundrum would haunt him again, but today he was in no condition to face Rennifer’s squire, let alone the beast himself.
“Fellow Companions, you have all fought bravely today, and overcome great obstacles. Now you must all go on without me, there is nothing left to give. Ser Roland, Ser Vardis, lead on and show the kingdom what it means to be a man of Kingsbridge.”
Daeron will be good today and just bow out.

Roland raised his sword in salute, invigorated by his friends words.
"Well fought."
He and Daeron both knew that other Companions had been saved from maiming or worse by the Great Bastard's sacrifice today. There was no need for further words at this moment. Afterwards there would be time for well earned praise.
First Addam had dammed the tide of Freys with his own body and now Daeron shielded House Starling's lesser knights from a murderer.
