Daeron's agreement with Septon Abelar was a dangerous one. The man was asking for a lot from him and blurring the lines between knights and septons set a dangerous precedent, one that could resurrect the Faith Militant in a new form and lead to generations of conflict. However, if an alliance could be struck between the Cause and the Faith, then it would make it all the more likely that King Daemon I of House Blackfyre would sit upon the Iron Throne. To this end, he sought out the three knights that would be the foundation of this alliance, starting with Ser Aubrey Ambrose. Deal with the Septon-Meet Aubrey: 6d6k4+8 22

Ser Daeron finds Ser Aubrey sparring against three men at once, quite capable men he notes, and yet the man manages to hold them at bay and find ways to single out one of them for a barrage of blows that would have left him at the mercy of the great knight, many times over. He notices the Great Bastard as he takes a break for some water and removing some sweat with a piece of cloth and looks askance if Daeron would feel like trying his own swordarm. Daeron knows enough about Ser Aubrey's skill as to know how that would go, a great many bruises in the morning, but Ser Vardis does like to tell freshly minted companions that bruises are lessons.

He had faced Ser Aubrey in battle before, but at least this time he would only suffer bruises from the legendary knight.
“I would be honored to spar with the likes of you Ser Aubrey.”
The septon’s errands could wait.
Do we want to run this as a First Blood combat, or just as a backdrop to what I assume will be an intrigue?

Probably best to just time skip.

His body sore from the solid beating that Ser Aubrey delivered, though not unopposed, Daeron shares his wineskin with knight as well as his idea that the devout knight, who once stood for Septon Abelar, elevate himself by taking vows as a septon in addition to his knightly oaths. He would be the first of a kind in Westerosi history!

Ser Aubrey looks puzzled at first, as if that is a joke, a knight might become a septon, but then he is no knight anymore, just a septon, and going the other way is impossible. Surely, Ser Daeron must know this?
That is impossible objective.

Extricating himself from the awkward conversation, Daeron decides that he will need to find either knights who are more desperate and willing to upset the state of things, or a new strategy to earn the septon’s support.
