[Phase 2.5] Too old for this? [Melee Scene 2]

Lord Starling shouts a challenge at Ser Benjen Erenford, called the pink monster for his size and strength, champion of House Frey. As good man as any to start with on his path to glory, he once unhorsed Ser Benjen's father and grandfather in the same tourney, the former's marriage it was, five champions for the bride, Starling struck all their shields and needed only five lances to defeat them all. Ah, stories, grand old stories. He can regale the pink monster with them at the feast afterwards, though more about his father breaking nine lances against old Lord Mooton and unhorsing Lord Patrek Vance, he wasn't jousting now anymore of course, only Lord Willem and Ser Tywin was left of the good old band, and The Stormbreaker, him too. Lord Willem's charge is just like the old times, nearly ending the match then and there, but Ser Benjen quickly recovers and deftly parries every swing at him and his counters strikes true, again, again and again. Lord Starling keeps trying, he never gives up, but running out of ideas, he tries a last desperate roll of the dice, and Ser Benjen's reply forces the old lord off his balance and onto the ground. This early end was for the lack of a better word, disappointing. Not his lucky day at all, rather the opposite. That he faced a man fully grown and he himself being old enough to be the grandfather of his opponent might have something to do with the outcome has not even crossed his mind.
