Thaddeus did not like Lord Brynden. Although like was not a word that served much use in regards of dragon's brood. Fear? Yes. Respect? Yes. Envy? Yes. Admire? Very much so. But like? No like doesn't quite enter the equation. All the same, Thaddeus had come across a little morsel of information that the Bloodraven might take interest in. Or not. But it was worth a try. Thaddeus was intrigued by the man. Seek Audience with Bloodraven - Reputation (Heir) v TN?: 7d6k5+1 20Edited to account for +1 from Chivalry

Efficient as always, Ser Brynden Rivers does not waste more word on pleasantries than is needed, he offers wine but does not seem any more interested in it than a customary sip to show that there is no poison in it, or at least not one that is dangerous in small doses or with an antidote.

"My Lord Brynden, thank you for receiving me and on such short notice." He lifts the offered cup, breathing in the aroma of the wine before drinking. "Ah, Lord Butterwell really does provide some of the best wines. Not an Arbor Gold perhaps but delicious, much obliged." Gently swirling the cup he watches the little maelstrom formed as he speaks. "I'll be brief my Lord, I can only imagine how busy you might be. The shadows of the realm do seem to have grow longer since Highgarden. Many a lord and knight must try to hide things in them. One would require a thousand eyes to keep track of it all." He quips hoping to gain some readable reaction from Bloodraven, gods the man was intimidating.
When none is given he carries on. "My Lord Father keeps me privy to most of his meetings with Lords and Merchants alike and I am aware that there's been certain arrangements between him and yourselves. I am not here for that but rather to further prove House Levalle's loyalty to the throne." He slowly starts moving about the pavilion, attempting to seem casual yet respectful in the presence of the Great Bastard.
"While visiting a certain establishment here in Lordsview I happened to catch the eye of a certain lord. Lord Ryman Frey, in fact. Not a very interesting thing in itself, many Lords and Nobles frequent the common rooms enjoying the company provided and the wine brought by the veery pretty little servant girls... but Lord Ryman seemed to prefer the joys promised in other parts of said establishment. And the sounds I hear from that room... well! The less said, the better lest the good Septon Abelar would have us all burned for such sinful talk."
He stops and now looks to Bloodraven, sipping on the wine provided. Hopefully it wasn't poisoned. "Again. Maybe not all that interesting. What's another whoring Lord amongst many? But Lord Ryman is a lord wed. Wed to a Lady Sofia of House Bracken and I as I understand considered an ally to your... bitter half-brother and his kin. The reason I bring this forward to your lordship is that I see here an opportunity to... sow dissent, shall we call it? Amongst the rebel ranks. The right rumour, the right gossip and the right whispered barb might serve to distant the Freys and Brackens enough to weaken the Bracken cause in the wars to come." He now pauses briefly for Bloodraven to voice any thought before carrying on.

And that is all? Bloodraven doesn't seem to think that one lord going to a whorehouse is enough of a scandal to make things interesting one way or another. Not with the news of the bedroom activities of a certain septon spreading around.

”Perhaps... but scandals seldom spring in to blossom by themselves. They may be seeded by accident but have to be tended to and nurtured. And my Lord have at least two sisters who seem expert gardeners in that regard. Lady Laena a more discreet one, maybe. Brackens are a prickly sort - or so I understand - and whilst they are the ones in need of the Freys, if the whispers and insults, or at least the illusion of such, prove to manyfold hotter head might take charge. It’s a gamble that might prove fruitless... but carrying fairly low risks it could be worth to pursue.”

And isn't Ser Thaddeus just as capable of such without having to involve the royal bastards?

For a moment he takes pause, realising his error. "I have overstepped." Putting the cup of wine down he bows graciously. The Bloodraven held no interest in this scheme, or at least did not deem it worth the risk of being involved. "I sought only to serve. Forgive me, my lord. In The Reach I have many friends, that's true, and a whisper here and there could easily serve as tinder before a keg of wildfyre, but alas less so in The Riverlands and I only sought aid in the matter. " He moves to leave.
"Thank you for your time, Lord Brynden. Again, forgive me for intruding."

It always helps researching the firewood first if one has no more kindling than some lord having his way with some whore, if someone like Lord Mandrake or Yelshire were to have such inclinations, that would be enough for a conflagration, given the stance these two have taken on such things, just as Septon Abelar is like to never hear the end of his adventures at The Rutting Boar. An experienced schemer would have a plot in his mind which he requires feedback or perhaps some small assistance with, handing over some small tidbit in the hope that others might be able to turn it into such a thing ignores the part where such men likely already have their hands full weaving their own webs. Suppose Lord Florent plotted against Lord Frey, it is then quite possible that he might use the knowledge of his target's activities to his gain, but surely he is likely to have done his own research and thus likely already be aware.
