Okay, then it's some quirk of the forum that determines whether it says new member or House such and so under your character name.
Edit: Think I found out how to fix it.

Looks like there is a "Display Group" setting on our profile as well, so if we ever need to have membership in multiple groups we can make sure that the right one is showing.

Hi! I intend to make Ser Donnel, although I am yet to send a message to the GM with my first draft.

Hello everyone! I was Reader over at Dragon's Dance, nice to see some familiar faces over here alongside some new folk. Sadly for my ASOIAF narrating the Doomtown Reloaded kickstarter was a much bigger hit than we'd dared to dream, so apologies that Dragon's Dance faded but enjoyed running it and glad it lasted for a couple of years. I'm considering Ser Roland Cordwayner of House Starling, as he looks to have a similar potential arc to my character in the short-lived Blood in the Water. In L5R's Winter Court IV I played a character who was a shining example of his society's values, but not a wonderful person by modern standards. I'd like to try something similar for the "Fire" faction and Daemon Blackfyre's side in this: on the wrong side of history, praiseworthy to his society while being sympathetic but problematic to our own. Let's see if I can pull it off! Knowing the narrator has wicked plans for House Cordwayner helps too. Bravo on all the hard work on making this forum Father, and many of the house rules (scaling XP!) and tips ("A guide to the featured characters") are excellent improvements on the format.

A thought occurred to me that it might be helpful to keep a running total of how many players we (potentially) have in each house, so new people can see if houses are over/under-populated. FINAL EDIT: FATHER IS NOW MAINTAINING THIS LIST HERE. This post will no longer be maintained. I only mark a character as confirmed if they have a post in the 'Cast' thread. I strikethrough those who don't seem to be active for a while. StarkwoodAshara Starkwood (Confirmed) Laena Pyre (Confirmed) Ser Mikel of Harroway (Confirmed) Cleyton Bolton Ser Aerion Flowers (Confirmed) StarlingSer Roland Cordwayner Ser Addam Velaryon (Confirmed) Lysette Starling (Confirmed) Ser Daeron Waters (Confirmed) LevalleSer Aladale Levalle (Confirmed) Ser Imry Lavalle Master Olyvar Rowman (Confirmed) Discreet Services Provider (damon's character) (?)Ser Parmyn Redwyne BlackbriarSer Donnel Blackbriar (Confirmed) Septon Abelar (Confirmed) Ser Balon Blackbriar (Confirmed) Ser Malcolm Caswell [Also, Hi, Reader! Nice to see you made it.]

There's also one Septon Abelar (I did tell him to post here about wanting that) and a younger brother of Lord Levalle (Aladale or something) in the works off the top of my head.

Hi everyone, another Dragon's Dance player (Kevan) reporting in!
Laena, Ser Aladale is correct; he is a younger brother of the current Lord.

Thanks for the welcome reincarnated Daveth/Laena, and delighted to see the former Ser Kevan here too.

Septon Abelar, reporting in. I'm looking forward to bringing the brimstone to this blood and fire party.

So far nobody has wanted to have a look at my NPC notes for their characters, though honestly, the concepts received so far blows the NPC's that would have been out of the water, so maybe it's better that it doesn't pollute the creative process.
Also, If I see stuff that looks like a work in progress character sheet, I tend to leave it be for the moment, and won't notice when it's done, so a new reply to that thread to tell me that I should go take a look at the finished stuff is a good idea.
Back to plotting, oh I'm just a tiny bit of a sadist, it's mostly just a cruel cruel world the PC's live in.

I have signed up to play Set imry lavelle.

To any new players deciding what to play, the ladies of Starkwood would be pleased to welcome a good strong knight. We promise not to bite.

Good afternoon all!
After an initial perusing I am leaning towards House Blackbriar but I may switch to House Starkwoord if the sausage ratio remains at 0.
Edit: Forgot to add looking at the eldest son of Ser Donnel.
