Where other men would have slumped to the ground by now, Ser Sandor keeps delivering brutal blows.

Suddenly it was over. Having kept going after so many powerful strokes, the seventh exchange with Ser Sandor was too much for Roland.
A holy number.
It is his last thought as Hammerhal's spare son falls from his mount.
[OOC: amended after scene retcon due to changes to Berserker benefit and NPC stats for balance]

Having felled his foe, Ser Sandor does not much notice the reactions as tiredness from the fight overtakes him.
Berserker wears out, Ser Sandor is defeated.

Never so swiftly has a crowd gone from roaring in blood-thirsty excitement to fall completely silent. When Ser Roland Cordwayner slumps to the ground they all expect him to yield but when he doesn't get up, in fact when he doesn't move at all and no sign of life can be seen, you could hear a pin drop.
Ser Sandor Daverhyl is proclaimed the winner and shortly loses his footing, but seemingly still alive, but Titus takes little notice of the dornishman's fate. He rushes to the body of his comrade, just an arm's length away when the maester declares that horrible thing.
Death.

And with that, the work if an entire tournament was undone. stupid fool. Could you have not so least waited to die until you got Alicent pregnant with an heir? he feels the tug of someone on his elbow, not realizing that his fists had balled up. He turned and saw the brown eyes look fiercely at him. [aftermath] zealot (only triggering vindictive to get revenge on a plot ruined) TN 12: 4d6k3 12He hesitated, Roland had been fighting against him in this, and so his loss meant that there septon would likely face a harsher sentence. He gives a nod to Regyn, and the mummer disappears into the crowd. His Lord had a name to remove from his list.

Lady Kyra does not particularly care for Ser Roland, though she does not wish death upon him either. But he had thrown down his gauntlet in support of the septon who had killed the one brother of hers that she liked, so she had not wanted him to win either. Her remaining brother, the one she might have been moved to a single tear for had he died that day, however, would be thrilled were he not to survive his wounds. He hated Ser Roland for stealing his betrothed, for being sworn to House Starling, for beating Ser Rennifer. For all the wits in his head, the tiny little thing between his legs did a lot of thinking for him, ugh now she has to remove that image from her head, again. The man had wanted out of the marriage and so had Alicent, she had won the battle of wits in determining who got out looking pretty, figuratively speaking, her brother had been fat and repulsive for as long as she could remember. If the Daverhyl's are clever and have the right sort of ambitions, and it might appear that Ser Eustace is just such a one, they could swiftly get into her brothers good graces. Just more people filling her brother's court that increases her urge to ride home for a long soaking bath.
Consequences of defeat: Both men gets beaten up within an inch of their lives (but lives), Sandor joins the list of NPC's whose stats are tweaked (Debilitation), DP spent by Roland is unspent. Daverhyl's (including Lynesse) gains +1 disposition with Eldon Merryweather
