The man picking up Ser Roland's gauntlet is Ser Sandor Daverhyl, a large man of obvious Dornish Features, broad of shoulders, sharing his brother's beak of a nose and sinister black eyes with a wild danger about them. Reputedly, he slaughtered a Dayne without mercy after having been found abed with his betrothed.
One opposed tourney lance charge, then switching to longswords, dueling until one man yields or is unhorsed.

Roland kicked his giant Fossoway destrier, Fortitude, in to a charge with a prayer to the Warrior to guide his arm if his cause was just or to unseat him if he served the wrong side. With the Seven guiding the match he rode well, better than he had even at many recent tourneys. He knew little of his foe beyond the man's reputation, what what little he knew he disliked... Ser Sandor takes a low posture, apparently trusting his sword more than his lance and horsemanship, perhaps he need not have worried, perhaps his choice was one of wisdom. He keeps his saddle, and Roland's blow only punches a bit of air out of his lungs, no more than can be recovered, though requiring precious seconds that perhaps will not be offered to him. He wheels around swiftly to come bearing down upon his opponent with a mighty swing of his sword. Roland answered the blow in kind, rocked by his fearsome opponent's strength but trusting in the Seven's guidance to see him through. Glory Staved R2 aim+attack LBF -2B: 9d6k4+6 29 should be 33, apologies, typo to k4 instead of k5 - 6 damage per DoS (4 athletics +1 mountd +1 Longsword) = 24 damage - 11AR = 13 Damage CD: 13->15 (LBF I) -> 17 (fatigue) AR: 11 Health: 5/12 Fatigue if attacked [OOC: Roland spends a destiny point to drop the charge by -1D so that it is 2 DoS for 18 Damage - 11 AR = 7 Damage]

Ser Sandor does not slow down much, if at all. If The Seven favors Roland, they had allowed a monstrous opponent to stand in his way.

Roland swung again, his strength almost spent. The song of swords had rung out loud and clear, the Seven weighing the matter of Abelar's appropriate penance.
