Facing Ser Titus in the final is Ser Dennis Hightower, the man Shiera bitterly remembered being unhorsed by "Donnel the Dolt" in the tourney for her hand. The wielder of Vigilance is past his prime but yet to slow, an experienced tourney knight, once a favorite of the crowd, his energetic style has waned over the years in favor of a more pragmatic style, but his helmet has a replica of the Hightower beacon on it, alight with real flame as he enters, though there is only enough oil for a dramatic entrance, the flame has been extinguished before the jousting begins, and he detaches the thing to toss it aside. Foolishly breaking one's neck for vanity is not on today's agenda.

[OOC: as ever, happy to assist on piloting NPCs in jousts and other mechanics heavy events where needed, particularly if given tactical instructions. Equally happy to have freedom to choose their tactics to the best of my ability.]

Dennis goes noble, otherwise he'll seek to win as efficiently as possible.

Ser Dennis was a tough opponent - these two champions were well matched! The Seven were kind, as Ser Dennis did not ride at the peak of his famed prowess and unhorse Titus early. The crowd would have the final they deserved! Glory at the Lists - P1 N;SiS: 7d6k4+7 24 6d6k4+1 20AH: 22 Armour: 10 Health: 12/12 [OOC: should we batch process these out to the last three?]

Titus continued riding steady, it would take an excellent hit to send him out off his seat. Ser Dennis had been defeated by one Blackbriar before, Titus sought to follow his Father's lead.

Ser Dennis tumbled at the third pass, failing to keep his seat after his foe's deftly placed lances struck him firmly in the shield, driving him form his mount. Glory at the Lists v - P2-6 N;SiS: 5#6d6k4+7 19 25 28 23 25 5#6d6k4+1 20 11 19 15 15AH: 22 Armour: 10 Health: 12/12

A roar goes through the crowd as Ser Dennis is thrown off his horse. Many of them were surely disappointed that they did not get to see Vigilance drawn today, Titus not one of them. The Champion of The Hightower proved himself powerful even still in his twilight years. Much like Father. Titus hoped that he was making the old man proud.
The Black Tournament of Highgarden had been his first. But this was his first Victory. He was taking it all in. The jubilant on-lookers. The Lords and Ladies in their high stalls. He rode up to the centre, facing his host as he is given the Crown to name the Queen of Love and Beauty...

This tourney is mostly free of Great Bastards, or the daughters of Great Lords, though there are some ladies more intriguing than others.
Leonella Crane, the golden haired beauty of Red Lake, and daughter of Lord Erryk, her courtesies are cold towards all men, lending credence to Delia's claim that she doesn't want any men, Delia had been very understanding however, as woman are lovely beautiful creatures one would wish to get to know a lot better, the way that vicious little woman disguised as a girl manages to string euphemisms into beautifully crafted sentences is as worrying as it is adorable. The most prestigious young lady in attendance whose hand is unspoken for.
Janna Hightower, a year younger than Delia is, and presents herself as Titus would imagine that Delia does when there is no brother present for torment, quick-witted and with a childish liveliness in her eyes and smile, though very much proper and courteous. Curious and slightly dreamy, leaving a man wondering if she is testing him, or truly an innocent romantic. A friend of his sister, it would appear, Delia has spoken highly of Titus, or maybe that is just something Janna says to be polite, one never knows with women.
Lyannna Florent, a nice of Lord Reynald, pretty but reserved, very much a proper lady that knows her courtesies well and does not deviate an inch from propriety. Perhaps so ordered by her uncle given the cautionary tale that rumor has it brought Lady Alicent to spend her days awaiting marriage in a motherhouse. Such things would explain a certain stiffness in her demeanor that would seem forced.

The flowery wreath that makes the crown is placed at the tip of Titus' lance. Deftly he guides it, with no surprise to the crowd, to the lady who's favour bore him through this tournament. Lady Janna Hightower. "I believe this belongs to you, my lady." he gently offers it to the young maiden with a smile. Having laid low the Champion of The Hightower and crowning a Lady of theirs in the same fell swoop, he says a few words of the honour of House Hightower, Beacon of the South and Shield of the Faith - and the importance of of such in days as these. Glory at the Lists - Making Friends with the Hightowers - Persuasion (Charm): 6d6k4 16 with normal Chiv bonus (+2) its 18, with Full Chiv bonus (+9) 25

Young Lady Janna beams at her fortune, and she is most graceful in the crowning, smiling sweetly and even makes one or two quips at her "old nuncle's" expense, though not so everyone can hear of such indiscretions, just Dennis and Titus, and the man who could have been the father of Titus, Balon, Vortimer and Delia (though the maesters say that this would result in an entirely different set of siblings) appears to laugh at the whole thing, commending Titus for his skill.
+1 glory, +1 chivalry and +1 coffers in the victor's purse. +3 Disposition with Janna.
