TLtI D13 - Deception (Disguise): 5d6k4 20Even as nearly everyone was busy packing up to depart, Laena was digging into the rumour about his good-aunt Ser Balon Blackbriar had asked her to look into. She was not yet confident should would actually share her findings with him, that would depend on what course of action would be most beneficial to her, but having the information certainly gave her more options than not having it. [Chronologically, this happens shortly after 'When the Hurlyburly's Done'.] TLtI - D13-2 - Deception (Disguise): 5d6k4 18Lady Fenri walked the streets of Gardenton one last time. The bustle of the last two weeks had died down, and while the city was far from quiet, it was no longer the cacophonous din it was, and the streets were far quieter. As she was walking down the street towards her destination, going over what Ser Daeron had told Laena, something that had been nagging at her for a while finally clicked into place, and she stopped dead. "That fucking sneaky piece of shit!" she exclaims in a mix of rage and astonishment. Mostly directed at herself. She just hadn't expected somebody so doped on drugs to pull something like that. She was as angry as she was impressed at the audacity. "During the course of our investigation we came across five names and descriptions that were linked to the Hooded Man." He'd told her. "Ser Horace of Oldtown, Master Jaremy of Longtable, Ser Robert Flowers, and a young ginger man. He came across five names, and only gave her four. Maybe he just couldn't count in his doped state, but she didn't believe that. No, he was *protecting* someone. And the most logical reason was because they were a fellow revolutionary, and he didn't want suspicion to fall in that direction. Fucking two-faced slimeball of a shit-stain! Pulling one over on me while off his head on milk of the poppy! I will *never* live this down.Laena will have definite words with her brother before she shares *anything* she learns. Quiet words, where no-one else can hear her shame, but words, nonetheless. Still, for now, it's time to call on her connections one last time, and see what she can discover before she leaves in the morning.
