The Castle Sept of Highgarden is only second to The Starry Sept of Oldtown and The Great Sept of Baelor in King's Landing in size and splendor, the Tyrells grudgingly accept the first point but will fiercely argue the second. It is of a more recent construction than most of the castle, replacing the old sept which now serves as more modest chapel and a place of learning for the faithful. It is built with seven main outer walls as is the custom of septs, with marble statues 17 foot tall in the likeness of the seven, one for each corner. The floors and vaulted ceilings are all colored stone in starry patterns. It's use of high arches and colored glass windows depicting scenes from the Seven Pointed Star is what captures the memories of most who visit, in particular how they so magnificently manage to capture the light of sunrise and sunset. It is by far the most popular place in the Reach for a young nobleman to receive his spurs, and indeed, most likely in the seven kingdoms given the number of young noblemen from the Reach that are turned into knights compared to other places.
